    I was a harder gainer. i was super weak and would not gain muscle no matter how hard or how long I trained. my buddies who i trained with and did the exact same thing, got super big super fast. I then made the mistake of taking testosterone to catch up. It worked, it gave me muscle mass, and all my hard work finally paid off. but then my prostate grew and grew and grew....now I can only hold 10 drops of urine before having to run to the restroom.

      @ Yeah, that sucks man, I’m sorry. Blood glucose can be associated with prostate growth, but that doesn’t sound like the issue here. Likely a combination of your testosterone, estrogen, and DHT levels. Are you still using the test?

    Interesting interpolation of psychological genetic factors and phenotype. I think this is an observable truism, as hormones regulate much of the male psyche, which in turn is expressed via our physiological make-up. All highly intercorrelated/causal. High test/high androgenic men are typical more intense and this is expressed in their androgen receptor sensitivity and it's expression, obviously it's more complicated than this (cortisol, estrogen variables, growth hormone factors, etc. etc.) but each person is a unique petri dish of hormonal chemistry. Similar in our basic structures diverse enough to express different degrees/forms of masculinity.

    • @CoachAjBuck
      @CoachAjBuck 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@josephl6289 Thanks so much for the thoughtful, detailed comment. I agree-I think hormones play a decisive role AND that it’s multifactorial. I think the bio/psycho/social model likely explains preferences and that we should, to the extent possible, seek to align factors we can control (ie environment, habits, etc) with those we cannot (ie genetics, with the caveat that pharmacology is indeed a thing)
