Colorado 14er Pyramid Peak - Class 4 Northeast Ridge Route
Starting out at 9,600', we climbed Pyramid Peak via the standard Northeast Ridge route to 14,029'. We encountered steep slopes and gullies, narrow ledges, a 'Leap of Faith' gap, and some snow flurries enroute to the summit.

Perhaps you should take Ski lessons and stick to the green n blue run until you are good enough to ski the black diamond runs ! its no fun for the ole ski patrol to load up your broken bones and take you off the run
I'm not sure what warranted that comment. This was a pretty easy line that I took. I don't see where you would think I need lessons. I've been skiing black and double black diamond runs for over 30 years. LOL
Cool!
Thank you, so beautiful amazing writer ☁️✨️
Right? Why did they load the boarder up knowing that she was going to crash right in that couple?
How far down is that drop? Looks terrifying
@@realitygaming7982 It's roughly 1,400 feet.
How spicy do you consider that road to get up to the turnout at 12,800'? I'm thinking of doing it soon in my Tacoma, but it's a long bed so the extra length might be an issue? I've got a few inches of lift and running bilstein 6112/5160s and A/T tires of course.
I have a 2.5 inch lift and 33 tires. It's been a while since I did this one but I don't remember being too concerned with bottoming out. I believe all of the switchbacks had plenty of room for backing up to make tight turns.
My idea of “Land’s end”. Literally.
What length do you ski in relation to your height / weight?
Ace video, really enjoyable to watch. Kudos.
Nice footage-beautiful peak- summit tag-awesome!
this feels like pure freedom
Dope view. But seriously thank you for reminding me of this song 💙
Very tough run. Nice skiing!
Very cool joining up with Simon from the UK. Last 14er a couple weeks ago our little group from Colorado Springs met a fellow named Trevor from California. It was his first 14er and he asked if he could join us, of course we said yes, and a great time was had by all.
great job, thanks for posting. it's on my list for next year.
I need to do this. I really do.
Awesome video! Thanks for putting this together John
You're the man! Thanks for making this day so special.
@@gabefabian3400 I was happy to tag along. You guys are great! It was a pleasure to hike with all of you.
could've sworn I saw a rock and heard the nick about two turns into Gauthier after the traverse. and twice more near the 4:20 mark. miracle indeed! 😄
I saw a video of someone biking on one of these thin mountain tops. I can't even imagine
Awesome
Thanks for the video, but that music sends me away…ugh
This is my favorite trail in Castle Rock!
im about to do that myself in 2 weeks, thanks for the video
Very nice!

This looks so easy on video. I’m an intermediate from Ohio and been to Colorado twice and Vermont 3 times. Going to Breck next winter. I know for a fact that if I decide to try some bowls like this I will either chicken out to drop in or I will die. There is no way it’s as easy and mellow in person. I did Bergman bowl at keystone this winter but it was all blues and there is no cornices or anything like this.
Yeah, I'm at Breck now, and I can confirm these are MUCH deadlier than they look. Even the easiest chute, which is the one shown in this video, takes a lot of courage and skill. Also keep in mind that double diamonds in Ohio are blues in Colorado.
@@Custom_Stryfe_Main yeah I know that I was at keystone in January. I did Bergman bowl which was nothing but still awesome for an Ohio boy and did a couple groomed blacks. Definitely badass and there is nothing like it.
What’s the resort?
Breckenridge
Ooof... looks stiff and crusty as it gets . Way to take it anyways though - sometimes this kind of stuff can be fun in a type II way
I wonder how this would be on a board
I used to wear a gray leaf camo coat, but I think the one I use now (significantly too big for me) is black
Ok.....
This is pretty much the only run I know the name of, and videos like this will probably ruin the reason why.
There is also arixen bowl and that’s all I nnow
Yoooo that liftie sending the boarder into that chaos 😂 if you die, you die 🤷
Thats some talented and brave skiing
😊
tf is this song lol 😭
