This is the TH-cam channel for Donegal ETB's Youthreach Progamme. Youthreach is the Department of Education and Skills education, training and work experience programme for early school leavers aged 16-20 years. It is one of many programmes provided by Donegal ETB's Further Education and Training (FET) Service. We have centres in Ballyshannon, Buncrana, Glengad, Gortahork, Letterkenny and Lifford. These short films are made by learners and staff from the various centres to showcase the work that we do. You can also check us out on Facebook and Instagram (Donegal Youthreach) and Twitter (@DonegalYR).
Youthreach is co-funded by the Government of Ireland, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020.

X-Hale Recovery by Letterkenny Youthreach
X-HALE is an Irish Cancer Society initiative that partners with youth organisations and young people to work towards a tobacco free generation. This is the short video documentary that some of our Letterkenny learners made and submitted to the 2018 X-Hale Short Film Competition.

Donegal Youthreach Masterchef Final 2015

Grace & Joseph - A 1916 Love Story (Lifford Youthreach)

As part of the Easter 1016 centenary celebrations, Lifford Youthreach decided to recreate the love story of Joseph Plunkett (one of the Easter 1916 Proclamation signatories) and Grace Gifford. Following the surrender of those involved in the Rising, Plunkett was held in Kilmainham Gaol, and faced a court martial. I’ve just finished a book about Joseph Mary Plunkett, he was a beautiful, brave, intelligent, sensitive , heroic freedom fighter. God bless Ireland, my clever, rebel granddaughter has the book now, ☘️🇮🇪🙏
Emotional but amazing 😭
If I hadn't seen this reenactment ❤️ I definitely would have doubted this beautiful love story that ended in such tragedy ☘️. However it will be a story about two people who loved each other and how powerful the force of Love is which we need to see or hear in order to remember how powerful the word love means ❤️💕❤️
