Sable - PC - 2021 - Full Playthrough - No Commentary - Part 4
Sable is an open world puzzle/platformer with a really unique visual style, and a very loosely told story that is largely based on the player's thirst for exploration and discovery. Definitely worth a look for the art and design alone, especially if you like the idea of roaming the desert (and other biomes) on a customizable hoverbike.

took me back to when i was kid fr always played this 😢
One of the best games on PS1
RIP David Warner since 2022, the actor of Dravis. He was awesome as him.
I don't like this version of the game, their was already an opensource pc version of this game prior, & this series should have hit the public domain instead of getting bought up by a company that does shotty ports ala picointeractive. I wish I've owned the rights to this game, just so I could immediately public domain it instead of a questionable company holding it for as long as they want, then make a better, fully homebrewed version of it afterwards.
Those poor slobs he hasn’t rescued yet…
Gabbagabbahey Racer X Mitzi Farmer Joe Anyone remember those for this game?
Akrid STAMPEDE! 🟠 10:11 Akrid Pack Hunters! 🟠⚠️10:31
Some trivia: The Playstation version had the intros as rendered movie sequences fully voiced, PC only got that "feature" with Descent 2.
Yeah! I put that up here as well: th-cam.com/video/K7-B3cast_g/w-d-xo.html
Still waiting on a DIY... Must be busy, we know, but still... Love this game and it doesn't get enough love. nice channel too.
like from Russia!
Thank you!
Do you have instructions on how to use D1X rebirth with the levels of the world? I have no idea how to use them together.
I do actually, I'm working on a quick video right now :)
Give this a look, hope it helps! th-cam.com/video/QcZzZcnVyIg/w-d-xo.html
joguinho muito legal👍👍vim para assistir um pouco mais do seu trabalho
I love Descent and Descent II since the first time I discovered them but I can't lie, playing Overload so much kinda screwed with me enjoying them the way I use to... I couldn't run the Inferno engine so I tried that D1X rebirth source port to try and play Descent with the new bells and whisltes the way I remembered it but the handling is wobbly for some reason, I don't know if it's the soft itself, a bad setting on my part or a compatibility issue but the input seems to lag and the barrel roll are slow and jerky... I have issues with 4K as well, it can be selected, but when done it bugs, and only display a bit of it like it's trying to display a 4k image on a 1080p monitor... it's weird... Any pointers? :/
hm, not sure without knowing more. did you get it from dxx-rebirth dot com? I use those packages along with the Steam version of the game and it works great--though I only run it at 1080p. First things I'd recommend looking at is try running in a window instead of fullscreen, and/or check you Windows display scaling settings. Windows likes to scale the display for 4k stuff and it can mess with a lot of games, especially older ones. Good luck!
@@retrohedron yup, I got D1x and D2x from the DXX rebirth site and am running the steam files as well... I should watch those settings then. Concerning the Inferno engine though it's pretty weird, because teh pop up tells me it's not compatible with windows 64 bits when the site I downloaded it tells me I need to have win 64 bits to run it, and direct X12 and some other thing and I check all those boxes... computers are weird... bah, I'll figure it out eventually
My introduction to the FPS genre, metal and industrisal music. My introduction to both Skinny Puppy and Type O Negative, and the first PS1 game I played. I owe alot to this game and I shouldnt.
I'm begging you. Please make a how to. I've wanted this kinda mask since the game came out
This, Starcraft, X-Com: Enemy unknown. Were the games i played at that time. So futuristic lol, was scared of them.
tutorial when??? 🐒
Is there a way you could show how you made this?
I love how cynical this is, and I love the voice actor's quasi Martin Sheen impression. This is extremely 90s in the best way possible.
We need new one with details of snow runner
You make it yourself???
I am looking for enhanced textures for the robots of D1. Can you help me
Worst controls to a game ever, next to freespace and descent!
Gotta be PC controls. WASD.
Probably because you're not good at it, & expect every videogame to be on the ground always & never deviate from that, because you're & einstellung inflicted gamer, & also that the version of this game doesn't allow for good button remapping to ones liking especially on controller anyway( which I prefer controller, I am not a keyboard dogmatist).
@@kvidal88 I prefer controller, If only button remapping for this was alot better rather than super shoddy. I still feel like this is a subpar pc port, of a game that mind you, already had an opensource decompilation a long time ago. I would much rather make my own version of this with a custom game engine, it would be significantly better than this.
I was so good at this game on playstation. I loved it.
Nice video man! The first two Descent games are cherished memories from my childhood. I downloaded all three games from Steam. Does the Rebirth mod fix the slow Steam controls? Are you playing with mouse and keyboard?
Thanks! This was recorded a while ago, but I think I was playing on the GOG version, I didn't experience any issues with the controls. The rebirth mod addresses several other things so I recommend it either way :)
Hey, dude. This is awesome. Do you mind telling me how you made it? I've been planning to make my own and would appreciate it.
When I played this as a kid I had to play it with my brother on the sme keyboard because it was our first PC game/shooter and the controls had so many buttons. One of us drove the other used the weapons
Haha, gotta love that old school co-op!
Thanks for the awesome video, it brought back some cool memories of playing the first Descent at LANs with my mates back in the 90s (and having our minds blown by the six-degrees-of-freedom gameplay)! Also wanted to let you know that there's a modern Descent-alike called Overload that you might enjoy. I bought it a few years back and it's really good!
Thanks for sharing! And yea, Overload is on my list :)
is your ps2 borken or something, the audio seems kinda off
how so? might be time to re-record this one anyway, but it sounds right to me.
Retrohedron area 1 is off key
Siiiiick! i really enjoyed that game too
thanks dude!
Looks really nice. Last time I played this game in 1998 with my friend. He was shooting lasers and accelerating, I was steering and shooting missiles:)
Thanks! It's still really fun after all these years!
Heh, nice channel to be frank! I got mine today. (It was actually given to me by Romero for my work on porting SIGIL to the 32x as part of Doom 32x Delta, but I'm not here to brag.) You got yourself a subscriber.
Whoa, that's awesome! Where can I find out more? And thanks for the sub :)
@@retrohedron Well just search Doom 32x Delta up on Google. And no problem.
This may answer a bunch of your questions about the level editor. At 12:10 he goes over obejcts and how they can be modified. Robots fall under objects. th-cam.com/video/l4EtphcXlOM/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Pixelmusement
Oh cool, thanks!
One of the best games of all time that so many people have never played. Good Upload.
Oh thanks, yea I'm glad I gave it a try!

XD 2:24:15 into a suspenseful horror game... Only you would say "are these my footprints?! Oh they are, that's cool.... *2 second running in a circle* Wow it saves a lot of them!"

Very cool/ mad jealous!
