YES !!!!!! finally someone showed me how to get the cowling off to get at the hidden oil filter, on my suzuki is just a 40 hp but now i just have to find where my cowling comes apart. It feels like Christmas moring thanks JIm

De waders er dårligt lavede. har for nylig købt et par, og efter at være brugt få gange lækker de ved limningen mellem støvle og waders. Ikke pengene værd.

Should I put the motor in gear before I do this or leave it in neutral. I know some older outboards need to be in gear to help align the splines

@@smaabaadsnyt-altomsmabadeo9300 Having a hard time putting the lower unit back on - seems to be the gear selector rod that's the problem. It would not locate if left on the lower unit, so we took it off and managed (after lots of fumbling) to mate it to the upper, but still having problems putting the lower unit back on. Was hoping for a bit more detail than the jump cut at @3:41 😉 Update: Turned out putting in the selector rod first was the problem - there was so much resistance mating it with the lower housing that it was impossible doing it while putting the lower housing back on. After pulling the rod out and having to use a hammer to put it back on to the lower housing spline, we did manage to get the lower housing back on without too much trouble.

Hi Fran - I use saltwater resistant marine grease. Some would perhaps use siliconebased grease as its also for lubricaring the rubber o-ring. Very often you will see corrosion between the aluminiumparts and thats why I very often use the marine grease. Kind Regards Per

O rings big and little one are critical as well to reseat correctly or you’re gonna leak fuel and motor will stutter.
At 0:41 you put the spacer/washer back on (with a tab/weight(?) on one side). Does it matter what direction you put the little tab?

Hej - det er bedst hvis du kan lægge et vist pres på et stykke tid men hvis det ikke er muligt så hold det på plads med kraftigt tape og gerne til dagen efter. Vedhæftningen forbedres hvis overfladerne er lidt ru. God fornøjelse

How fast, is the best speed for trolling this lure? Thanks.
It runs great from 1,9 to 3 knots. When the watertemperature is high I often run with approx 2,8 knots for seatrouts in saltwater

@@KetilFishing mostly with a Paravan in the front and then approx 7” line to the lure. This is a real seatrout killer in the summertime 🎣

Do you mean the shifting rods ? Its common marinegrease. On the gasket of the oilfilter use new oil
