What price do we have to pay?
มุมมอง 658 ปีที่แล้ว
Philosopher and technology critic Jacques Ellul in "The Betrayal by Technology" (1992, ReRun Productions, Netherlands) "That is one the basic rules of technology. Without a doubt. Every technological step forward has its price. Human happiness has its price. We must always ask ourselves what price we have to pay for something. We only have to consider the following example. When Hitler came to ...

Leerzame woorden! Het innerlijk licht, het zijn en niet-zijn,
Een documentaire uit 2001. Wat zijn we veel kwijt geraakt! Prachtig voorbeeld hoe de natuur een rol kan spelen in de ontwikkeling van kinderen.
I would definitely not feel comfortable standing on that ground.
I reckon it disappears into that hole in the ground.
The quality of the sound should be better!
put a mic on the lecturer
I am encouraged by this film. I am working with a decidedly differently population of kids but we have a farm site and they work on it. I could use a little cow fertilizer and maybe a cow thank you very much but we do provide the experiences just the same. Thank for the video. Thank you to alicia@kcfarmschool.org.

Gros nuls au niveau de la traduction
nice; similar to michele obamas program..
Here be Elves.
The divine Nature is expounded by all natural beings unified by the processes of life and death with respect to the natural order. Our experience is an opportunity to be one with this cycle, humble yet present in an extraordinary way. Arne Ness and Deep Ecology are built upon an underlying philosophy that reflects the beauty and magnificence of Gaiea and to extend this to a devote way of life paying close attention, being reverent, interactive, and harmonious to the glorious Creation that shows itself to us. The primal mind and shamans of conscious being ceremoniously expound on these teachings to enact balance and health to our existence and that which with we exist.
The cabin is in Hallingskarvet (National Park now), and Hallingskarvet IS the mountain he talks about: 3:30 The mountain is visible from far, and it has a magic influence on me as well. He names it an entity, and it is right. The mountain has his own language, and I can sense it, with my inner ears.
Thanks - great lecture.
Where can we find the music that is being played? It's beautiful!
The first song at 0:00 is "Hodalsbrura" by Bukkene Bruse. The second song at 2:12 and again at 3:41 is "Den vare fela" by Per Sæmund Bjørkum. You can find both at Spotify.
He was the antithesis of Rand and Limbaugh's anthropocentrism. We need more like him vs typical apathetic takers & destroyers.
Thanks for posting, soekawala. I want to go to school and study deep ecology. Would you recommend me to study agroecology if deep ecology is not offer in any US school? Or what other very similar careers, degrees or courses to deep ecology would you recommend to study?
who are the people talking in the film ? freatfull for answer
in part 1 there are title cards on them, most of them philisophers
El ecocentrismo es la única manera posible de inteligir nuestra realidad. El hombre o la sociedad como "medida de todas las cosas" no permite entender el todo, sino que lo esconde o lo deforma.
Stupid fanaticism, nature is Ebola virus, tsunamis, plagues, flooding, earth quake. Nature is hybris itself and is not a subject. Giving rights to nature deepens anthropocentrism as nature doesn't ask nothing.
I don't see why more people haven't found this wonderful place. Thank you!
looked like spring, early summer. Would be relatively warm then, most of the vidda thaws out completely in summer.
My place has a stream like that near by except it stays underground for several hundred yards....very interesting
the documentary is amaizin, but the music kills me :')
bag head.
Naess misrepresents Kant here.
We are Nature, humans are nature...only we have a choice to remember this or not...and when people believe they are smarter, more valuable, and separate, here's where the problems arise.
@dreamwildly agreed. how id love to smoke a bowl there
Arne Naess is so cracked out, I love this dude
No, no: This is the ex-husband's uncle.

well lived Arne
R.I.P. Arne Naess
I had him on my "things-to-do-before-i-die list". Would be nice to meet him, but too late now. He was an old man, rest in peace Arne Næss. Hvil i fred!
may he rest in peace within his mountain he is with us all
Arne Naess, the late great founder of Deep Ecology, was one of the great philosophers of the 20th century. May his spirit live on in remote places of the world and in the hearts & minds of environmentalists everywhere.
thats badass
