Ian Hill's wife is Rob Halford's sister. In the mid 70's Judas Priest needed a singer. Rob had never sung professionally before; just in the church choir when he was a boy. But the sister said to Ian, "You should check out my brother, Rob. I hear him singing in the shower all the time and he's quite good". After the laughing died down, the band decided they were desperate and gave Rob a shot. The rest is, as they say, history....

I was front row center on 3/4/22, first show after Richie had his surgery. Rob pushes soo hard that his whole body shakes on those notes which you don't see. Richie was on fire. Painkiller live is an attack on every sense you have.
