@angelcrush3320 I totally get that frustration it can feel like some of the most meaningful character arcs get walked back by the end of the saga. Majin Vegeta’s arc especially stands out because his decision to embrace darkness felt so final and impactful. Yet, by the end of the Buu saga, it's almost like they hit the reset button, and he’s suddenly all-in on the ‘family man’ persona without much reflection. It’s one of the reasons I made this video I wanted to highlight how raw and important that choice was. Imagine if they had really stuck with that darker introspection post-Majin instead of moving past it so quickly. It could’ve added even more depth to Vegeta’s redemption.

@BingoWards yes, it's not like he has to be a comicaly evil character, just morally more obscure. the 'he will get shit done' type. even if he has to go over some hurt feelings... or bodys. but the family man bullshit really came out of nowhere in my opinion it doesn't fit vegeta at all. honestly all relationships in DB and DBZ are absolute trainwrecks, both from a character development standpoint and from a writing one. the way the ones Goku obscessed girl, getting her man and as soon as her son was there complety ignoring him, even abusing him. like what ?? what happened to them?

But I think his character arc was meant to show that even someone as prideful and damaged as Vegeta could find peace in something beyond power and battle. It’s definitely a huge leap from where he started, though! As for relationships in DB and DBZ yeah, they’ve always been... unconventional. Chi-Chi’s switch from fiery warrior’s wife to overbearing mom was a weird change, and her relationship with Goku is definitely strange by any normal standards. @Cck12thesilly If Goku didn’t need Kaioken, he wouldn’t have used it If Gohan wasn’t stronger than base Blue, Goku would’ve stayed in Blue the whole time. The fact that Gohan was dominating enough to make Goku activate Kaioken shows that Gohan’s power exceeded what Blue alone could handle. Goku didn’t use it to flex he used it because Gohan was that strong.

Vegeta did not achieve SSJ2 before majin, this is why when he saw Goku turn SS2 against yakon for a second, is when he made up his decision, the power gap between them was way too large. He needed a shortcut

@moremoney1765 He did turn SS2 and it was only when he was Majin, not before. After he was given majin, died and came back from the dead. He had already the power within him he can't lose it a earned power, a bit like gohan his potential was unlocked by the supreme kai and he gained it back quickly in super after training with piccolo.

@moremoney1765 Actually, in the manga, Vegeta never shows Super Saiyan 2 before the Majin transformation. When he says, 'So Kakarot surpassed the Super Saiyan wall too,' it’s him acknowledging Goku’s SS2 power. However, Vegeta doesn’t visibly transform into SS2 until after Babidi’s spell boosts his power. The Majin power-up removed his mental limits and helped him reach that level. Goku had already mastered SS2 before their fight, which is why Vegeta needed that boost to close the gap

Moreover, if vegeta didn't knock goku out they could have left together and goku could have and probably would have prevented vegeta from dying by going ssj3 even if it meant hurting his pride. Vegeta was a fool. Goku also wanted to stop the fight many times, and was distracted but vegeta was too stubborn, thats on him...not that they should have been fighting to begin with. It was quite inappropriate given the situation.

This is a controversial opinion that I can get behind, Majin Buu has no fight IQ, he's not really intelligent, he has power, yes, but not scary power. His best asset was regeneration, he was just a chewing gum, like cell, the guy kept coming back even when he had holes in his belly. In terms of an actual fight, if majin buu did not have infinite regen, I think Vegeta/Goku would of cooked him.

Absolutely! He did his own kind of therapy and also it's reinforced in Super when vegeta achieves Blue his own way again. Even Goku Acknowledges that "he did it the hard way compared to me"

Somehow Gohan managed to fight equally with Kefla in the manga, well he is one with most potential in the franchise
