Listening to you guys riff on music unjammed some kind of road closure in my mind 😂i had to pause like five times and hunt up old favs from 30 year ago Rtj ❤totally gets ppl in gear
I agree with the tempo thing even tho mass produced bound by the flames and price of pain actually were deathcore.
Totally unrelated but i remember you and Pat talking about nofx on an episode and it made me wanna mention: if you haven’t listened to “The Hepatitis Bathtub and other stories” audio book biography by nofx i highly recommend it. A great glimpse into the 80’s 90’s west punk scene before shit was commercialized
I got that book randomly a couple year ago. really interesting read.
Flagman fuggin rippppps
Flagman rules
I remember you from your other channel. That dope show or whatever it was called. I'm surprised my algorithm brought me to you again.
Oh damn. That was from way back. Welcome back!
I would take the money bag. I'm just mad the latest Austrian Death Machine sounds like my highschool band recorded on a flip phone.
"It saddens me to think about the behaviors, communication, and patterns of interaction that led up to the tour cancellation. Phil and I no longer saw eye to personally, creatively, or financially. [This sticks out to me. Financially? They couldn't see eye to eye financially? Seems like Tim felt entitled to more money than Phil.] Discussions during this time prompted his decision to depart first, with each of the touring members [intentionally not referring to them as full members, which may be warranted, but if they had any input on the album they may feel shortchanged in the party, and the credit they may or may not be entitled to, i don't know, in unfamiliar with the lineup change, i didn't even know the band was still making music until a few days ago] deciding to leave shortly after, as they were not interested in going on without him. Unfortunately, that wasn't the order in which everything was made public, as some statements were rushed out during a chaotic time in response to rumors. [Abuse allegations refuted by his wife]. "I fully support each of the guys' decisions to leave and believe at this time it is best for everyone. With that being said, my door will always remain open to discussing anything directly as I believe closing communication lead to many assumptions and problems of its own. "Now, regarding what's next: AILD was founded on persistence and determination. For anyone who is familiar with the foundational years from 2000-2004, you know that more than 20 people [that's a lot of people to come and go. That means there's a common denominator-- Tim "the Toolbag" Lambesis, an abuser of drugs and steroids.](whom I'm incredibly grateful for) have come and gone to help bring to life this vision I've had in my head since I was 19 years old. I look forward to building a new team, and creating an atmosphere that is supportive, positive, and fosters a creative environment. [Doubtful based on what i just read]. It's a legal mess and a bigger rumor mill mess with claims of "personal morals" as the reason for the split. Regardless of his wife's statement, the guys behind the scenes know more than us, and it certainly wouldn't be a stretch for a victim of abuse to stand by their abuser, especially if that abuser is a successful musician with money and much to gain from it. They may be working it out, or maybe her statement is just a way to mend things to move forward to a safe and amicable divorce without, y'know, a hitman being hired. And she wants a decent alimony. We'll see
I hope the rest of the guys go on to form a new band.
Im 1000% positive this is over allegations, though. Abuse of some kind. Tim is in fact a psycho
I think so too...
@channingaustin just because his wife denied it doesn't mean it didn't happen
Tim is a psycho that's why. Formerly put a hit on his wife, beat his new wife, and shady behind the scenes dealings over royalties and writing credits.
youtube premium is incredible and theres no going back.
Oh no 😢 lol, i Love almost every song from Highly Irresponsible
It's definitely Tim. 😂 dude lost the classic lineup, then the new lineup. Plus there's a rumor he beat the shit outta his new wife so. All signs point to Tim.
I too have also have quit As I Lay Dying
I think it has to do with shady dealings with royalties and publishing for the new album. Tim and Phil worked on it and said to have worked with the new members on it as well and then maybe they turned around and kept them as hired guns and didnt give them any song writing credits... I think the details will come out
You people are so fucking insensitive
Album of the year for me. Post-hardcore/screamo wasn't my thing at all, but I heard Touche Amore about five years ago and they blew me away. "Hal Ashby" is an amazing song with all the different changes. You mentioned that you appreciated their music as you got older. Well, I'm in my 60s and they sure resonate with me!
Tim touched my 🍪
One thing a lot aren't mentioning is that back in 2022 Nick Hipa was the first to go, then Jordan Mancino, and Josh G following and THEN Ken, Nick, and Ryan replaced them. So this is the SECOND round of majority the band members left because alot of people come to realize the actions of Tim and they probably morally can't go on supporting TIM L. Look back from 2022 line up and their reasoning for leaving. It's a TIM L thing.
Wow, didn't even realize that. Thanks for the commenting and providing more context
He would probably put a hit on you as a bandmember for shitting on the tourbus.
Insanely fair variety in your suggestions in such a cool way. I’ll drop a follow for this one
Thank you. I like to get a good variety in there. I post theses at the beginning of every week
Perfect can’t wait to watch this series 😂 just found u
Awesome. If you like my reactions I made a separate channel called "DTLRNR" where I do em all now.
Does this forgive the American Idiot album and redeem OG Green Day?
American idiot rules. Post American idiot is what I have a beef with (revolution radio is pretty good though)
This album is amazing. Is your channel name the amity affliction song?
Naw. It's a reference to a line in Floater by every time I die
@DragTheLake732 I'll have to check it out thanks
You suck. Jk. I subscribed.
sick!!
Yo dude great video about touché Amore and respect your thoughts. Love this band to the max and they are life changing for me. Enjoying the new album and I feel like this new album will sink in more as I listen to it through out the year. Hoping to have my video posted in a few days on this 6th new album. Thanks for putting up this video and cheers!
Thank you very much. Really appreciate the comment. Glad you're enjoying the album.
Lame
The album? I thought it was really good
This album does rip . Doesn’t feel Phoned in.
Yes
I saw this with HEALTH last weekend. Also saw this with Mili years ago. Idk how some rando uploads an album to a VERIFIED spotify page.
this is definitely important to talk about… it’s absolutely insane and incredibly pervasive
no. if it was all just one type of sound.. maybe.. but that sounded like shit lol.
The lead off track got me hard AF. thx4 d'boner!
I love a reaction channel that’s also funny as hell. I too, reminisce about the last time I had diarrhea. Also rep +10000 for Norma Jean being one of your favorite bands.
Is that seldon Montgomery
hell yeah
This sucks and pitm is a problem
I love how some people dislike Tillians voice but I bet they cant tell me a single bad song with him in it
Also extended pain 10/10 lyrics, music painful truthful screaming.
10/10 short and sweet. Lyrics, music, screaming. Absolutely amazing. Not your typical band they through it all in at once, not for everyone. Listen to the lyrics, and pain, listen with headphones. I love thrown my favorite band. I'd rather have short and sweet, over long boring shit.
2
Hell yeah brother
Previously poncheezeed is like one of the best songs in my opinion lol, it takes a while to grow on you
Also, I agree with the simple comment, lots of bands use simple tactics and make a great sound. Vampire weekend, and Emery stick out, I’ve heard their stuff in 8-bit and it sounds almost the same lol
I love the cat in this video.
I saw Green Day in Toronto and I think the way the concert was handled here was best. Scotiabank Arena's dome was closed, which I think Billie Joe even said during the concert was good because some other shows got rain. It also just solves the drone problem. The concert didn't allow big bags and every bag was searched, there were metal detectors as well.
You were right, i worked at that pizza shop 😂 Check out our new music video and new album!
Especially if ur black😂
If you’re having some trouble getting into deathcore, I’d highly recommend Fit For an Autopsy! I truly believe they are one of the most creative and enjoyable bands in the genre atm. Their last two albums are fantastic, and they have another one coming out this fall :)
great review. Penultimate means second to last :)
That reverb cocktail umbrella comparison at 15:43 was fucking beautiful thank you for that
