Go 1959 Dons!
One day, someone with skills will use AI to add a soundtrack and commentary to these old films, maybe with a Jack Dyer or a Teddy Whitten voice. We can dream. Thank you or the find and also sharing with us......
hahahaha, @1:34 Keating sticking his bib in to build his profile. Pies didn't see him again after that day.
Excellent. Still got my fingers crossed you will one day unearth Greg's song about Danny Del Re.
I defy anyone to find me a better kick of the football in the history of the game
A group of mates and I went down to Collingwood after the Grand Final there were happy drunk people everywhere. No wait ….that was last weekend. 😉
Who the hell is that woman.
Bev OConnor,..been with the ABC for years and recently did the late evening news tonight,..might have retired by now
What a moustaka.
9:57 Lex Marinos segment

Still one of my favourite games from my favourite year of football 1984!!!!
Well done for the upload. Thanks heaps.
Super boot by name, absolute gentleman by nature .My all time favourite .
"Highlight", "Geelong" and "1988" generally don't belong together
That when rice was good 💯1️⃣🇦🇨👀‼️1️⃣🇦🇨👈
Hard to believe it’s 34+ years ago!!!
I noticed that the roof was missing from the southern stand.
Yes. Good spotting. They took it off.
A great day that was
My late aunt was a diehard Magpies supporter who was very surprised that Collingwood won the 1990 AFL Grand Final after a single draw and eight losses.
Great work Rhett
No one loves football more than Bruce.
How good are the Western Australian jumpers? And South Australians may spot the scoreboard and notice its umpire Laurie Sweeney, a World of Sport panellist in the 60s and 70s.
I hope you post his 1985 prediction that Hawthorn would beat Essendon in the GF! Nearly as bad as co-host Mike Fitzpatrick's prediction that Melbourne would beat Hawthorn in 1988 GF!!
Thank you so so much for this! I was one of the little dancers and I’ve never been able to show my kids because I only have it on vhs! So I was able to share this with them! Honestly made my night!!
Is this “Skeeter at the Park” Skeeter?
Love the highlights from the Non-televised games. Hard to find these days
Yep. Time to fire the Labored party
Still miss ya Warnie R.I.P
Wonder how much they paid the lady at the end to say positive things about the merger....
Great work uploading these old matches
People in the crowd with cameras must've been so rare in 58. It amazes me that the drop-kick was so in vogue for so long. And l went to Windy Hill a lot - the changes to the outer over the next 25 years,..l mean, l can't recognise any part of this ground - same thing happened at Kardinia Park as well and l guess Carlton too.
My all time greatest footy commentator. And despite being a Collingwood supporter! Pure footy and banter before Woke took over the AFL.
Moffat and bond ended up on the front row 1 and 2
They kept it real back then in those times.
I loved Tony Shaw
You betcher feltcher I whole Hartley agree with you
Never new Pagan coached at the Bombers, pretty impressive 10 GFS for 6 flags.
Fantastic images…just wish I had that day’s Football Record so I could match numbers and names…
If you're interested, these are listed on AFL Tables.
@ thanks
That would Polly tossing the coin for The Sandgropers!
RIP Clinton Grybas.
I recall the shock and grief on 3AW after Clinton’s sad passing.
Thanks Rhett.
I was a young Hawks supporter sitting on the wing with my brother and we slumped in our wood splintered bench seats, when we saw the SW wind change arrive at quarter time, it meant the Hawks kicked the first half into the wind. Probably the most courageous win I've witnessed from the Hawks as the Melbourne juggernaut was almost unstoppable in September 1987. Those last 3 misses from the Dees in the last 3 minutes will haunt them for ever. We were cooked for the GF though, especially in 30°c.
Friend of a friend played U19's for Collingwood in the mid-80s, until Gavin Brown arrived and immediately took his spot.
Cats got hammered by the Ump this game. Still angry!!!!
Nothing changes!
What happened to all of this cool stuff? Does It no longer exist? I never had foxtel back then . I have kayo now and it's rubbish
