@@Trusty-Rusty has about 10,000 on the setup. Mostly trips to and on the dunes. The only thing would have done differently is the lighter leaf pack. But if you carry weight in the bed that might not apply to you.

its just pacific customs 6" over beam with their 4" arms. 10" shocks. Kinda learning all this as we go.

someone probably knows more than me. But I would think It would take some sort of computer to make it work. It needs to operate a combination between two solenoids of on and off.

@@4wheeltrips Right, the combo of the 2 for the gear selection and I think a third for the TC lockup. Have you been good with this setup? No premature clutchwear or transmission failure? If the actual controller itself has proven reliable in manual and auto, I can probably rig something up with an arduino to get the input signals to what they need to be from the paddles. But not even gonna try if you had a bad experience with the controller.

@@HorribleHorrorMovies setup has been great. Still running the unknown condition trans out of a parts truck I had sitting on the shelf for years. I did a shift kit in the valve body before it was put in the truck.

It had a vw bus 002 now it wil have a built vw 094

@@daleyfamily2179 actually uniball upper control arms allow more travel than a stock balljoint and when paired with a longer stroke shock allows for more travel making it what most refer to as mid travel. The lower control arm is usually not the limiting factor to travel.

You’re getting long travel and mid travel confused, you absolutely can have a mid travel build w lower control arms

I am 150 over 200 up front. I have not done much research to know about the rear yet but what is the shock valving in your rear? Did it take much preload on the spring to accomplish your desired ride height?

@4wheeltrips I started with 400 over 450 then I stepped down to 350 over 400 and had the rebound revalved and it helped but Its still not as good as I'd like. I have basically 0 preload on the spring just enough to hold it in place and It sags probably 4 inches or so at ride height. So I'm thinking maybe I'll go to 300 over 350 and then I can put a little preload in if I need to for ride height if I need to. Part of it might be the only having like 6 inches of front travel making things weird too its hard to say until I have it all done next year

It is an allpro bumper that has been modified.

The person hauling it up got held up. Couldnt let darkness keep us from testing it.

@@4wheeltrips I did the swing axle to irs conversion, 2x3 arms, coilovers, bus trans swap, and ecotec all at the same time it came back to the dune the next year a totally different baja lol the first couple years I took it to the dunes I never even made it over test with the vw motor.

@@TheSupersample That was probably the right place to start. I hope to keep making steps to get a to 5x5 arms with coilovers and bypass out back and a motor swap soon.

I'm on a island, so it's a major problem here, and it's funny, I'm watching Modern Marvel's Corrosion and Decomposition, and they were just at the Michigan proving grounds testing Corrosion, I'd much rather live in the mid west then here in hell! Long Island is hell on vehicles, I've seen cars and trucks missing whole sections of frame and body, this place eats them alive!
