Episode 144 - The Life and Films of Alfred Hitchcock
Text Abby and Alan (www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/692845/open_sms)
Abby and Alan sit down to discuss the life and works of Alfred Hitchcock. Unfortunately, we do have to warn that this episode contains some discussion of sexual assault.
Correction: Rebecca did win Best Picture at the Oscars in 1940. The only time one of Hitchcock's films won Best Picture.

Would love to see more restoration & grave tending in the world, so sad to see
Thank you for this. Its hauntingly beautiful ❤
So many haunting stories
Where can I purchase this?
Vintage stores, estate sales, ebay, or check out Dark Interiors on IG! That is where I found these.
My mom used to do tarot before she passed, so I have my interest in it from when she was alive. In syaing that, what deck is thay first death card from?
The first card I show is from the Rider Waite deck!
@@TheLunaticsProject thank you
I remember the cool rippled stone on pillars at the Broad Street Cemetery in Salem and thought for years it was a natural effect then when I learned the tables were for the living I understood the ripples were a carved table cloth
Nice
I believe that the spirit of George Mackenzie was disturbed and doesn't rest he is still torturing the spirits of those he killed, he was a wicked soul, an exorcist who tried to cleanse Greyfriars got overwhelmed and died from exhaustion, this is all real
Do you also visit the store oddities? That falls right in alignment with what you’re sharing
Oh, I haven't! But I will let you know if I do!
What a fantastic episode. Horrible to hear Hitchcock was a creep. He had a good nose for thrillers and horror stories; got a couple of anthologies with stories he selected.
Franklin vampire killer! 😅
Good to know ❤
My favorite semetary is one in south carolina called "Hells Gate" theres a fair amount of civil war history and scary stories about it
On south Broadway real nice area😂
St.louis, mo 314 need to exercise sum more 😂 Southside
ross bay grave black mass begins blasphemous prayers are being chanted backwards
She died in 1968, not 1969.
I just found this podcast I’ve been listening to you guys all day on Spotify so this is so weird to come and see you guys now hi there nice alien folk
@@mrmeatloafasmr446 thank you for listening!!! We are so happy you found us!
this is odd that i got this in my recs. but the satanic ritual is partially true but mostly false. there is a band called "blasphemy" who let's just say really love this place and created a label based on this cemetery name and uhh they have huge fanbase. pretty much this is a landmark to their fans
hey i has bkaspjemy shirt
I just found this channel and holy fuck it is awesome
Thank you so much!
I was there in the 80s the tunnels were yes used food transport ppl to doctor. Never seen ghosts
Thanks for finding room for my tale. Loved Avi's read. Flawless!! The sassy voice for Alameda was fantastic.
Ha! Yes! So glad you liked it! Avi is great.
That Uncharted story is beautifully written and performed. Congratulations to both the writer and the va!
As is The Sea Took Our Names 🙂
My dad is buried there.💞
Beautiful❤
Is saint issac of the kiev caves part of that?
Oh, he didn't come up in my research but certainly could be!

It’s been two years and I am the first to comment. 🧹
It's been three minutes since this comment and I'm the second person to comment. I also just visited the old parish cemetery, and saw the grave.
It's fucking disgusting! This has got to be one of the grossest things to ever exist! 🤮
People are STEALING the vases. They take them to scrap yards and they sell them. It is a felony to steal off of Graves. I make handmade expensive arrangements for each holiday and birthdays for my family and my sister people steal them off and put them on their peoples graves so the new ones that I’m making has a GPS tracker and a camera on each one so I can make sure that I have the right people that I’m putting felonies on
4 children It’s only 2 in the movie
bro just found a new backrooms level fr🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥

Oh so about twice the flight time of a maden swallow
That's so cool. Guess we need to bring back the maps with sea monster illustrations on them?
Nobody knows how "long" the Statue of Liberty is
305 feet, and one inch.
@@TheLunaticsProject The statue of liberty has HEIGHT...not LENGTH. And sure, any dipshit can google anything, but to just know that is pretty nonexistent. When using a frame of reference for size, most people use something that people know. Common sense. Which explains why you didn't use a football field or something else that everyone just knows, by their LENGTH.
Giant squid that or a colossal squid
stepford wives syndrom=trad wives 💀😭
I just found out my 8th great grandparents are buried here. 🥹 Allsop
😂 the intro to this episode is comedic gold. 10/10
Hahah thank you! Very generous of you!
#BringBackTarotTuesday
You kind of sound like Kamala Harris lol
Thank you for posting this❤
Great installment! I had a "lightbulb" moment when you mentioned the film Triangle. I'd already seen it but never thought that "triangle" meant Bermuda triangle, i'm such an asparagus!. but, unlike yourself, I actually liked that movie a lot. it freaked me out how it ended. another film that gets involved with a similar theme (the body double one) was "Coherence" from 2013. More coming from the parallel universe angle but for a low budget film, i found it thought provoking, to say the least. Your shows are always great and oh Allen, I checked out the film that you said was effed up, the one called "Demon Seed". and holy frak, yeah it was lol. You mentioned it on the Ai podcast which, by the way, was amazing. you guys are my go to peeps when i'm on ye old treadmill which, I'm about to get into right about now! awesome!
Thank you so much!!! :-) I will let Alan know that you watched Demon Seed, he will be very pleased to hear it lol. I will have to check out "Coherence," the parallel universe theme is a good one for a future episode!
if you have a fungus itch you need a doctor not a movie recomendation.
Catherine Ross was perfectly cast. The movie is an absolute classic.
Anastasia was a Don Bluth. He was independent, and did the legend of nim, and fievel goes west and other not mice related movies. Now I think about it he probably did a couple of Disney movies but he was mostly independent. I think rescuers down under was also his but Disney?
Ohh!! Thank you!
Im so happy you made a video on the grim reaper thank you 💀 😊
Methane released from the ocean and blew up the flight
Can validate green light smoke also.
