Can I ask how you measure the flow rate
If you time how long it takes to fill 1ltr, let's say 10 seconds, multiply that by 6. You just adjust the flow until you get the desired flow. I aimed for 1000ltr/hr.
Domb question, I have the same genset and is due for it's first service. Where the hell do I pour the replacement oil??
I think from memory you fill it from where you check it & fill till full.
Question. Yearly you're supposed to replace the bulb, clean or replace quartz sleeve, and lubricate all O rings and gaskets. Should the tapered gasket that slides on the quartz sleeve be lubricated with food grade silicone grease? I know there shouldn't be residue on the quartz sleeve. Especially on the part where the bulb is located. I've also noticed when using silicone grease sometimes gaskets and O rings become quite slippery and slide around. Sometimes this causes them to move around not seal very well. At least in the cases where there isn't a groove to retain the position of the O rings. Was also wondering about the small O ring that seals against the end of the quartz sleeve. Does it need to be lubricated? You definitely wouldn't want that slipping off the end of the sleeve. Thank for any info you may have.
From memory no grease is added to rubbers that are used for the sleeve. Apologies for the delayed response, I dont recall a notification 😬

Hi there, do you think the 67db sound level mentioned on the website is fairly accurate? Could you have a conversation standing near it?
Id say a little louder imo but yes you could definitely have a conversation next to it, you'd have to raise your voice though.
@@coastalclownfish Thanks for the quick reply mate. Sounds good. I have a few other bits of gear that use this style of engine and they are not particularly quiet as a rule. Sounds like the insulated cabinet definitely makes a difference. Thanks again.
Its going on 4 yr old now & I'd definitely upgrade to same style later, pretty happy with it.

@@MrCites1 no not at all, it closed down somewhat 10yrs ago. Its actually a shame as it had potential.
@@coastalclownfish yes. But the owner set it up wrong in my opinion, grand plans, but poorly thought out.
@@MrCites1 for most part it was, not efficient at all as far as power consumption, but I believe as far as walk in wow factor, he just may have been ahead of his time slightly.

Harder?, I dont think so, more monitoring & dosing perhaps. Alot of substrate & rocks play a part in a reef aquarium.
