Very good!
Thank you!
This is insane but id reccomend making the video a little smaller to reach larger audiences
I did consider speeding up the time lapse even more but I was afraid it'd be too quick to actually see anything. I have another large build I want to do in the future so I'll try shortening things for that one lol
Yes!! Yes!! Yes!! (picture the bit in the movie TRON) Please do a walk-through video on the interior! Your castle is freaking awesome! (But in Minecraft my horse obsession would require bigger stables. 😆)
Thank you so much! I will indeed be doing a walkthrough soon!
Wow great stuff, really cool looking castle. I think an interior video would be great. I like making interiors for my builds so it's always cool to see other peoples style for inspiration
@@dankujcreations thanks so much! Yeah for sure I plan for n doing the interior/walkthrough video soon!
so freaking much that breaks the feel. it doesn't feel nor look like minecraft anymore by a long shot with al those mods, odd angled blocks, wooden boards and details. Just like any generic voxel game.
@@countsaintgermain393 to each their own. I love Conquest Reforged as it adds so many options for building. I love vanilla Minecraft as well though. Just depends on my mood!
This looks really good! I would love more of that, and a walkthrough would be amazing. Keep up the work!
@@lolomot7498 thanks a lot! I fully intend on doing a walkthrough of the whole thing!
Beautiful castle 🩷🩵🩷🩵
@@fork2870 thanks so much!
Walk through plzzz
Soon my friend!
Am I able to buy this as a world download?
Unfortunately you cannot. The castle is built on a server I do not own. You can visit Elmorin to check it out though!
this is amazing work! never could have even dreamed of taking on a project of this size. i'd love to see an interior walkthrough.
Thanks so much! I'll definitely work on an interior video soon!
this is MAJESTIC. how do you even design something like this? I started to build a couple months ago (medieval builds aswell) but this is on a whole another level. Could you give me some advice please? I'm really amazed. Awesome work
@@1lauta thank you so so much! I've spent a lot of time watching other builders and then also looking at tons and tons of reference images to get to this point. My biggest piece of advice is start off with something smaller first. Like a small fort or maybe a small walled outpost which has similar vibes to a walled castle build. And once you have confidence in that build build something slightly bigger. And then keep growing from there! Also don't be afraid to build poorly. Bad builds can help teach you what you don't like and how to improve next time!
@@BenDStraws thanks!! Appreciate it 😀I will do it
Just discovered your channel looking forward to seeing an interior video
@@Christopher-cr7pw well thanks for checking the video out. Interior video will be coming soon!
Do you use a 3d program to create like stan616 uses for quality of life improvements, or just /commands? Fantastic work. Honestly incredible skill and patience.
@@robosing225 I pretty much build mostly by hand honestly. I do use some minor world edit if I have lots of similar looking towers or am copying a wall design from one side of a building to the next if it's really intricate. I also use world edit commands to do texturing sometimes but also I enjoy texturing by hand a lot too as seen in this particular video. My process can be slow because of the lack of quality of life stuff, but I also find the process cathartic!
I would love to see a walkthrough for this build!
Once I'm back from my vacation I'm going to get started on that!
Great build. Although I have always wondered how those flags get up on those tall roofs. ;-D
@@normangray7869 I've never once thought about that.....luckily since this is a fantasy world we'll just say magic 🤣🤣
Super cool build, and really enjoyed the voiceover going over the thinking behind your decisions. One thing I noticed, since you're going for realism... that wall section to the left of the gatehouse (in front of the officers' quarters) would be a pretty major tactical weakness. The wall is fairly low, and in an area that has poor visibility.
Fair point. Hopefully you won't be invading this castle!
@@BenDStraws Haha, looking forward to the walkthrough.
I, too, was noticing that if this was a real castle, they'd ensure the forest was further away and not up close. Usually, chopping down the nearest trees as sources of wood for building or burning. And you wouldn't want any local trees thick enough to be used as a battering ram, either. The ground leading up to the castle would be much more steep, so it would be difficult to scale it by ladder or siege tower, or the walls would just be built that much higher. Of course, the area wouldn't look as beautiful either unless the local flat land was used as stone walled crop fields and animal enclosures, creating a patchwork quilt of various colors. Absolutely magnificent fantasy castle!!

Hehehe
Yeh it would be good if we could see the interiors
Yep gonna work on an interior video very soon!
WoW😍😍😍, hey, how about a part 2 with decorate of details? I think that's great!
Thanks so much! That'll definitely be coming!
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
This is amazing mate! Massively inspired by this for my series! This is how I see my world ending up with the different noble houses I have set out. I’ve subbed mate. Can’t wait to watch your stuff!
Thanks so much! Glad I help inspire you!
Amazing build, some serious skill! for a moment on my recommended page I thought you were building a something to do with a town south of me - Kilmarnock, Scotland.
Hmm maybe I'll have to check that town out though ..... But thanks for the kind words!
Love it
Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous build (would love an interior walkthrough), and also props on making it really sound from a defensive standpoint as well (which is hard to do in Minecraft). My only design critiques would be that a few of the rocky sections feel like they would have been flattened down a bit to maintain the wall height, and that it would benefit from a full moat (even just a dry moat). Genuinely fantastic work, and can't wait to see more! Edit: How did you make those trees in the bailey? Are they fully custom, or are they using Better Trees? If fully custom, I presume they were built elsewhere and then copied in?
@@The_Industry definitely appreciate the critiques definitely things to consider! Also yes the trees are custom built. I have a bunch in a flat world that I've turned into schematics.
@@BenDStraws Neat. Also, I've noticed you don't use any world edit. For all the specific block palettes, gradients and detailing it makes sense, but what's the thought process behind not using it for any large-scale terraforming?
This made me feel something I haven't felt since I first walked into Whiterun in Skyrim all those years ago. Amazing build. I would love an interior walkthrough! You've more than earned my like and hopefully many, many more.
Thanks so much I will definitely be doing an interior walkthrough since several people have asked for one now!

Heeey B! Ofc i've seen pic's in discord, and also 'live' from the server in Porpy's streams/vod's, but seeing you in action on this with your unike way of building again is awesome - l o v e it! And yeah, just get on with the walkthrough, ok 😉
Thanks so much! It sounds like I'll definitely be making a walkthrough!

Awesome thanks for checking it out!
Love this! You said Layers!
There are indeed layers! Also thanks!
Awesome build would love to see a walkthrough! Also curious with you mentioning Create if your resource pack for create is back available for forge/fabric?
This is the 1.19.2 version of fabric and I've got create going on there. Also just a note I guess the world is now in 1.20 for fabric and create is working there too.
Definetly do a walkthrough video! Would love to see the interior
Awesome I'd love to show it off! Just be prepared for a very long video for that lol
Second!
Third!
I suggest you do more research in European architecture for medieval style. I notice classic US architecture design choices in your builds. Beyond that, this is a great project and good quality video production. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the recommendation. All my inspiration and reference images are either photos of real world old western European buildings, or are images found on different art boards/websites of "Medieval Fantasy" artwork. That being said I know there's always room for improvement!
Looking good!
