Is it necessary to learn web flow or framer as a Ui Ux designer
@@GamingStriker22 nope, they are useful but there are other ways to make a design portfolio. Framer is probably one of the easier choices though.
Hello, how will the UI & UX designer profession be in the future and what is the impact of artificial intelligence?
I feel that the role will continue to evolve to use AI as a tool. I’ve heard something like a UX engineer. AI seems so promising that I honestly can’t give a definite answer on this.
@UXtan I understand , thank you for answer.
Do you ever critique your subscribers portfolios?
I haven’t critiqued portfolios yet since others do it so well, but it’s something I might explore in the future. Thanks & I’ll keep it in mind if there’s interest!
hi! I discovered recently your channel, and I like your perspective a lot. Also, is a BIG plus feel that you are being honest. I just finished a bootcamp as a UX/UI product designer, and I will probably get into the User Experience undergraduate in UAL (finger crossed) but, if I could get a junior job whilel studying would be great, so I am gathering info to keep learning in order to do so, and your channel is being very helpful. Thanks for that.
Glad I could help and good luck in your journey!
Hey thanks for the point of view. I also appreciate the effort you put into this video. 😊 you too man, keep at it
@@damlaacikada thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it
It’s frustrating how rare it is to hear stories about people breaking into UX without a college degree. Feels like those paths aren’t talked about enough!
Thank You so much for sharing it!
what was your previous career? I'm an actor thinking about switching to UX/UI and I worry I'm just not suited for the job. But I am interested right now just don't know where to start. Your videos are helping!
I was doing accounting roles. I think some transferable skills are great but design is a skill that can be acquired over time. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Thank you for the honest insights
Waiting for more videos from you every week please !
I’ve been leaning towards a career shift in Ux ! I’ve probably watched 100s of videos, i must say your video gave me a clear roadmap of how i should go about it all ! I appreciate how beautifully you’ve put up the book recommendations! I would love to see your journey ! Thank you for inspiring me!
@@sweet_indian_potato1741 that really means a lot and I’m glad it was a helpful video. Thanks for watching and good luck on your journey!
Does Degree matters for this UX Design role?
@@relaxingmind3004 the type of degree normally doesn’t matter from my experience
@UXtan does UX/UI Designer also called Product Designer or they have some differences?
Hello sir I am from india.I am a visual arts background student,a have completed my bachelor of fine arts and masters of fine arts degree. now i am a fine arts teacher in an indian School.my age is 29,I have little bit knowledge in designing software.how can I switch my career in ui ux design field.can I become an ui ux designer at this age???
@@dipanjan_123 I did when I was 30 so yes, you can. It will take you hard work like anything in life and some resourcefulness. I wish you luck.
I’m 41 and just finishing a boot camp. It’s never too late to make a change. I hope to land a job soon, but I know how the market is.
Best of luck in your journey!
Hi am new to UX as well, could you recommend a boot camp or a good online course for me to start 🙏🏿
I am 31 and I am making the switch. it's so scary because I am from a different background. However, I love it I want to try something new out of my comfort zone and I what I love is that it is about solving problems and making life easier for customers/users.
@@nombusontsimbi8291 I understand the feeling, it was difficult for me as well but if those things bring you joy, then I think you should go for it. Good luck!

Teach us how to build a portfolio and resume with 0 experience bro
I focused on personal projects. I talked about what I achieved and what did I do. The rest is just standard things about any resume: keep it simple, easily to scan, key skills etc.
Could you talk about UX designer resume and how to write it with couple of case studies
I listen my personal projects, what I accomplished (something measurable) and what I did to accomplish them. I created the resume template on Figma. I focused on having it clear, concise and easily scannable.
Thanks for sharing the tips! I’ve been learning UX design for 10 months now and i’ve just finished my second case study for my portfolio. My question is when you’re a solo designer working on a conceptual case study, how can you do in depth research? In my case, i only relied on secondary research because i cannot find participants to interview.
@@daisyy9969 depends on what type of case study. You can either rely on secondary research or conduct your own primary research by speaking with people. You’ll have to be a little creative on how to get people. I used to ask friends or people I asked online. Good luck!
I’ve just discovered your channel and as a Framer fan & content creator, I just paused to make this comment, great to see new Framer fans, and thank you for good content!
Hi yeah it’s a neat too and I’m glad you enjoyed!

Hi, please what's your advice for those who's niche as a product designer is in the real estate and construction, how can we navigate finding a job?
I’d recommend to continue to show your product design skills and the problem you solved. There is some importance on relevant industry experience but it’s not everything. A lot of industries relate with each other as well. You can also do projects that are outside of that industry if that doesn’t work, I’d recommend the product or industry you’d like to work in.

Thank you so much both of you ❤ This video not only uncovered a lot of valuable insights but also a lot of actionable guidence that junior designers should keep their hands on. Much appreciated for the effort 🙌🏼
So glad you found it useful, thanks for watching!
This is a great video, thank you! All useful and relevant information and delivered well. I am working on a career change in my late 30's--tough with the market being as it is. What industry did you come from before UX?
Glad it could help! I came from audit and accounting before going into UX. It’s tough but stick with it if you like it, good luck in your journey!
Well said. I want to add that UX is not just a soft skill that most people think is similar to graphic design. UX is a combination of Soft skills & Hard Learning. A continuous learning mindset is the only way to survive in this field. As curious as you are on your first day while u enter UX. Problem-solving & creativity never goes old.
Thanks for your comment, I completely agree. UX often feels like becoming a Swiss Army knife of skills, and there’s always more to learn, which keeps it exciting.
Hey, Thanks for the video, I would like to know more about this, Can we connect on LinkedIn or twitter?
Hi Tan! Thanks for the video! I found it super helpful. I had six years experience program managing in accounting as well! Did you find an entry level job? Were you be able to apply your previous working experience and find a junior level or senior level job?
I started entry level (junior) and worked my way up. There are transferable soft skills, and over time, you'll improve your design craft and tooling. Thanks for watching, and good luck!
Would like to here in english from the next session if you're interested to make. Thanks!

@@UXtan Thank you! You too!
Yesterday, I came across a video on TH-cam featuring a very young developer from Chicago, he shared about how inspiration feeling about documenting our life, work, and growth via vlog/videos (btw his channel looks so art cinematic I'm impressive so much!! th-cam.com/video/f38170PM2Zg/w-d-xo.html) . Today, I found myself back on your channel watching another video about making videos on TH-cam. It makes me feel a bit shy because I still don't feel ready to start my own vlog. I'm taking it day by day and hopefully, I'll have the courage to start a vlog soon. Anyway, I hope that we can organize a meet-up for UX designers to share experiences in Ho Chi Minh City. NAB is my dream company. I hope to become your colleague one day! Another thing I'd like to comment on - I love your English accent. I'm just curious, did you study abroad?
Yeah I understand it can be outside of someone's comfort zone but if you enjoy it then go for it! At least I hope you do. Sure maybe I will organize a meetup in the future :) For my English, thank you I grew up in the states so I'm a native english speaker. Cố lên nhe bạn. Hy vọng sớm được xem video của bạn!

Nice video a, looking for more UX sharing content 🤟
Love the editing! I have the first 2 books! Gifted to me when I was debating whether to switch my career to UX/UI !
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, they are classics and a good base knowledge for design
Same here! I had lots of insecurities in my 20s-scared to put myself out there because I didn’t want to be judged, criticized, or embarrassed. But those fears just held me back from what I really wanted in life. Now, in my 30s, I’m more confident, and watching videos like yours is encouraging! As Brené Brown (queen of vulnerability) said, “If you’re criticizing from a place where you’re not also putting yourself on the line, I’m not interested in your feedback.” ✌🏼
@@simplyspams feels great to block out all the noise in our head, thanks for watching
