count me in. turned 80 in january. started mowing during the day 27 years ago while i was working nights as a caterpiller mechanic. had employees in the past but now i take care of 40 properties per week by my self. depend on good equipment to stay competitive.

New Sub Here bro!!! I am 54 and retiring from my law enforcement job in 2025!!! I have had a solo mowing side hustle for the last 20+years and when I retire next year I plan to continue my side hustle full time!!! My pops passed away at 81 and he was still cutting grass, so if I live that long I will be out there as well... Take care and keep mowing bro!!!

Hang in there Rick, still kicking gr ass and gonna be 67 in May. Left knee replaced las March, left hip replaced last November and right hip replaced yesterday. Gonna start back in 2 weeks slows getting back into it. Body definitely goes through abuse and beats you up but wouldn't have it any other way. I'm only 45 but, I feel like the oldest guy in lawncare 😆 I know a guy in his 60's and another guy in his 80's mowing 15- 20 lawns a week solo. We had raised our prices over the past 3 years, 33% increase our 1st year and 2% increase the past 2 years.

60 yrs of age. Full time Railroad. Solo weekend warrior, with 16 lawns plus 5 bi-weekly...Lol , Not even a days worth of work that you do....I look forward to your video's, learning and enjoy watching... Keep up the great work and stay healthy!!

I was gunna say that in lawn land you and Wes are the first 2 I thought of. But people like me, Ray and Virgil aren’t far behind. 50-55 is where a lot of guys drop out whether they’re solo or a larger business. My dad turns 75 next week and is still going. Full disclosure he has plenty of employees to do everything but few are still going at his age and you can’t keep him off of job sites. He’s very involved. I officially ended landscaping as of December 31st. But I did so to focus on our property that will be a venue. So there’s still a lot of “for profit” landscaping in my future. Hope y’all have a great season.

how much would a clean up like this cost? im in california and looking for a career change. Im a mechanic but pretty much over it now... need to do something different. guy has a scag 52" for $1500 locally. I have truck and trailers and various echo and Honda lawn equipment for maintenance at my place.

Do you hear your hydrostatic units whining you have to run at Full Throttle when you are moving your speed is controlled with the handlebars not the throttle if you don't even know this you are not qualified to comment on much of anything else

Now Charlotte she's the darlin', she's the apple of my eye And when I'm on the swing with her, shemakes me almost high. I haven’t heard that one in a long time. Those bridges aren’t uncommon around our place in the mountains and I’m sure it’s not uncommon in your area. But most have probably never seen them. Especially as part of a driveway. A few of my parents neighbors have them. Hope you and the ACME crew have a great time at the Expo.
