The Eastern Bantu are the Ancient Egyptians of the Amarna Dynasty. That was proven by DNA Tribes in 2012 (1), and this information is being kept off Wikipedia, to benefit the fraud of the Verona Schuenemann study in Nature, from 2017. Schuenemann stubbornly refuses to look at the dna from the Valley Of The Kings (Tutankhamun, Tuya, Yuya, Amenhotep III, Ramses III, etc.) and will only look at female mtdna haplogroups, from which she makes determinations about the rest of their dna, the rest of the Egypt beyond their 1 single near the Fayoum Complex, and time frames which weren't part of her study (most of the New Kingdom, all of the Pre-Dynastic, Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom and the intermediate periods). And yet this is the study that is now put forward as the golden standard, and even worse is showing in newer studies. Anyway... the Ancient Egyptians of the New Kingdom, 3,000 years ago moved to south to the origin of the Nile in Uganda and created the 'Urewe Culture', which later became the origin of the '2nd Bantu Migration'. This allegedly started from West Africa, however: 1) The Eastern Bantu have dna that is distinguishable from Western Bantu/Yoruba dna, and 2) The Eastern Bantu have identical dna to the Amarna Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The balance of probability would say that the Eastern Bantu came from Ancient Egypt, rather than West Africa. The Yoruba/Western Bantu have some Eastern Bantu dna, and the Eastern Bantu some Western Bantu - so they did meet somewhere in time. However, it is likely that the Yoruba/Western Bantu and people with Jolla/Mandinke dna moved into West Africa after the Ancient Egyptians moved into the Rift Valley. The Yoruba/Western Bantu/Jolla could have moved south in the 1st millennium BC upto the Middle Ages, moved south to Uganda, found the Eastern Bantu already there, and moved west, keeping north of Rainforest. The Western Bantu do have some Pygmy dna, like the Eastern Bantu in South Africa have some Bushman dna. However nothing else, which indicates that the Pygmies and Bushmen hunter gatherers were the only people in Africa beyond the Nile Valley. Which makes sense if you think of the population expansion at the time not occuring among the hunter gatherers, who'd had the same lifestyle since the Old Stone Age, yet coming from the agriculturalists of the great river valleys - the Nile, Mesopotamia, Indus, Po river valleys.
