We review ALL kinds of whiskey: Bourbon, Rye, Scotch, Irish, Asian and anywhere else in the world releasing whiskey. We also explore whiskey through whiskey cocktails and discussing whiskies from our club meetings and attending festivals when possible.
We will be sharing background notes; whiskey specifics; our initial thoughts on nose, palate & finish; as well as discuss pricing and availability...at least in our experience.
We are NOT whiskey experts...we don't distill or judge at competitions! We are interested in sampling everything that whiskey can be, learning about the historical backgrounds and legal requirements for various types.

You Won't Believe They Discontinued the Glenglassaugh Revival!
Today we review another Scotch that comes from the same distillery that was named Whisky Advocate's Best Whisky of 2023...the Glenglassaugh Revival!!! The distillery was founded in 1875 but closed for a while. After being bought by the Scaent Group in 2008, when they first got to release new whisky, this was one of the three. Those original releases were discontinued in 2023 and they moved onto a new lineup including the Sandend. This wasn't a sweet as we expected but still really good whisky and we will continue to look for other releases from Glenglassaugh!! Cheers!
