I’m happy to say it’s still thriving, they’ve been living together about 4 years. The cichlids can be a real problem amongst themselves but they ignore the pleco 99% of the time. Most of the time it’s just hanging upside down from a high piece of flat limestone rock. Different cichlids will swim through or hover under that same rock, right beside my gold nugget pleco.. and everyone just carries on with their day. I’ve been trying to think of ways to capture some of that with with my GoPro but it needs light and there’s not much light under that big flat rock.

Thanks, it’s definitely my favorite but the African Cichlids are pretty cool too.

Still have this beauty... been meaning to film another fish tank video. I’ll work on doing that soon.

They really like cucumbers or spirulina for a treat.. they mainly eat pellets and algae wafers. Still looking for something else to mix it up.

I've seen alot of different fish work, giant danios, various barbs, loaches, silver dollars, various sharks etc I have kept a mono angel in mine for the past 4 years.

Yep, they all love it but that’s the one snack that always brings the pleco out from hiding

Haha, from the looks of this.. you’d think it never gets fed. You have some gorgeous cichlids Heap, I hope mine continue to color up like yours have.

It sure is... those mountain top views are amazing but riding on those curvy roads is even better!

‘Twas a success.. I’ll get more of the footage edited and uploaded, hopefully soon. Summer has just kept me busy. I was afraid of scaring mama off with daily disruptions, so I left them alone for about 2 weeks until they hatched. The best footage that I captured is when the babies finally flew away, one by one. Not gonna lie, it was precious.

FarnazIransoul Hi, I’m sorry it took me so long but I finally got my footage of their last day in the nest edited and uploaded. It’s worth watching... mom and dad make several stops at the nest getting them to leave, I edited a lot out but that last baby bird waited a loooong time before flying away!

Yep, it’s my favorite place to ride indoors... the build quality is amazing.

It’s like a rainbow, but this is moonlight refracting through icy cloud cover instead of water vapor. I was lucky enough to see it too and it looked amazing. The extra wide angle lens setting on the GoPro makes it appear smaller in this video but it was VERY BIG in the sky. It also lasted a long time... almost an hour (the halo is visible in about 170 of the time lapse photos with a 20 second interval).
