The BEST Supporter Trainer cards from the Sword and Shield Era!
You are really underrated
I think Archeops can be lifted from the bann list since Maxi's Ball Trick is banned, it's not so easy to put him into play. And he is not that strong on his own.
Fun new drinking game, pick a banned card in the vid then take a shot every time this video mentions it again
Why is unown banned? Just for having an alt wincon? Is there like, a realistic way to set either of those up lol? Seems very silly to me.
unban all the hand disruption cards. I want to see the world burn.
Nah cards like shaymin should never be printed imagine having already 2 copies in your hand
only 23? that's a lot lower then i thought it be
They added one more since this video went up! 24 now
of course the best looking jessie and james card is banned 😔
I was so happy to see that this wasn't a Dexlogs video
Delinquent's art is adorable!
One of the best full art trainers!
His or her why dont they use "Their" for short 😭
I miss single player TCG videogames that would let us do all this broken nonsense for fun
Lmao, most of those card are from the XY era about the time i use to play the TCG locsally and fck when most of those cards were legal we had some insane tournaments also 300usd decks lmao.
Sableye Puzzle of Time was such a fun deck to play.
Agreed! Didn't fell that broken tbh
And then they put red card on pokemon tcg pocket
Cool video
Alternate title: Card Declined Banned Pokémon cards And why they were banned
May this shit never find pocket 😭
It's funny. In all TCGs that don't have mana (in any form), cards that attack opponent's hand are almost all banned or restricted. I'm a MTG player so hand disruption on turn 1/2 is completely normal to me
honestly kind of weird that you explained the exact same combo 5 separate times during the video, instead of doing the human thing of just grouping them together and explaining them all at once
Depends on where you're coming from. It makes the video longer and people *may* watch the whole thing to see all the banned cards. Or they may have it playing in the background, meaning a longer video will be more beneficial for his retention stats. I don't agree with it, but it's clear why he did it and makes perfect sense.
I feel like they’ve banned so many hand control lock pieces that they could unban a few without the archetype being too consistent and oppressive The fact that you kept having to repeatedly mention the same batches of cards and interactions with like half of the banlist tells me that maybe these don’t ALL need to be banned
They probably needed to ban each of the cards in the combo to stop new similar combos from popping up with new or slightly weaker cards
Where these banned in standard or just expansion? Since a lot of these combos span years of sets
As a mtg player, the most surprising part about this video is that the Lysandre card and other cards that shuffle your discard into your deck are actually good. In mtg these kinds of cards exist and are often just plain useless. Are pokemon players really running out of cards in their deck that often?
The cost to play cards usually involves discarding other cards lowering your resource pool. Putting all of those resources back nullifies the cost built in to balance the game
It's been a while since I played Pokémon, but from what I recall, in Pokémon you absolutely CAN run out of cards in your deck, unlike Magic where it's a rarity. This is in large part because of the fact the draw and tutor effects are so much better, so you go through your deck much faster, especially given that none of the Trainer cards cost any energy (Pokemon's version of mana) to play.
Something tells me people don’t like playing card games where your opponent rips all your cards in your hand
Most people enjoy being able to play 😂
See their first mistake was to think trading card games were fair.
Why do you pronounce Flabébé, Dusknoir and Milotic like that?
2 segments that say the same exact thing lmao
How the hell hasn't the pokemom TCG's gameplay not imploded on itself by now lol
I HAVE SO MANY red card
Great video for me, thats getting into Pokemon tcg, but again, yeah its repetitive, instead of going over the same text 3 times, you could go "... and it's paired with x, which is also banned"
I think Red card may be unbanned. It’s in the new TCG app lol
I'm still trying to get enough good cards to play and not get demolished lol
0:24 can you fcking stop to move the card? What kind of editing Is this? Can i read It?
I enjoyed the video at first, but when the same strategy got explained in full for multiple cards I had to stop
15:01 Now it's in TCGP 💀
XY cards really did a number on tournaments huh
The dark ages for pokemon tcg 😂
you gotta turn off auto chapters bro
Imagine pulling up to a tournament with all of these cards in a deck lol
They were just popping off during Gen 6 and 7 😭🥴😂
100% 😂
Lysandre's Trump Card ban was perfectly justified. Completely removing one of many win/lose conditions in the game is just too much. Others got banned simply from unintentional game-breaking combinations/synergies they got with older/newer cards in Expanded Format. I really missed playing Unown HAND deck in SM standard format. For example, Maxie's hidden ball trick got banned because it allowed you to play the archeops with ancient power ability without the need of its fossil card, but Archie's Ace in the hole, which functions the same way as Maxie's hidden ball trick but for water Pokemon, is completely untouched.
Lantern control just cant win
I’m amused at the video timeline thing having the Flabebe section as “Flat Baby”
I think its ridiculously funny how explaining every banned pokemon card takes 20 minutes but explaining every banned yugioh card takes literally 8 hours.
You should really format this better and bundle related cards together. A bunch of these sections are just explaining the same strategy but a different card.
Watched this in 2024 and thought...how the hell did they every thing Dusknoir's cursed blast was a good idea?
I've wondered this too as it blows up my bench in the current format lol
3:23 Can someone explain why he keeps saying "two random cards" instead of "a random card"? Was it reworked or something?
Well, the irony is none of those cards are in rotation anyway, so, they kinda died a long time ago.
Great list man.
Thank you!
Lol I still make infinite loop decks. Hahahahahahaha
As somebody that hasn't played Pokemon in 15 years. I guess the first five sets were really good at having balanced gameplay.
Pokemon players really dont like having their hand tampered with huh?
I was confused by the order of cards shown because you showed them in alphabetical order instead of chronological. I think it's better if it's in chronological order, so we have a better timeline of the metagame as well.
