I watched till the end. Very interesting business model! Have enjoyed watch your content! I ran a small business for 32 years and was forced into an early retirement because of health issues. I know that I could easily operate such a business with the service business that I owned and operated.

What you said about scaling makes sense, however you could just copy what you got. Business, owner, truck, trailers. - Other people want what you got. Own 30% of their business as a silent partner in exchange for helping them get started with a single trailer and truck. Business isn't about doing work, it's about making money. When the work gets you saturated, it's time to consider ways to outsource labor but without more work. Easy path for that is ownership. Take one student at a time, and make an agreement that they'll learn for a while, and then they'll work in a service area that you don't want. noncompete agreement. Very simple. I bet you've been listened to by thousands of people and not one of them had a solution like this. That's because they're not me and they don't know what I know.

So the thing that puts a sour taste in my mouth of these guys selling their program on TH-cam is that if their buisness was going so well. Why are they selling "consultations" instead of being tied up with their buisness. Josh from American af dumpsters is a far better example to listen to.

Good for you, love the entrepreneurship. Curious how you protect yourself from an environmental risk perspective? For example, a client puts some hazardous material in the load, (asbestos, lead, liquid paint, etc.) and you don't know it, but landfill employees find it and you have huge risk of being fined. I'm sure your contract addresses this, but I'd guess it would be a he said/she said type confrontation when the environmental fines are thousands of dollars.

Most of these comments are losers. "Business Owners" that don't realize they aren't in the junk removal/dumpster rental game. They are in the sales and marketing game.

Made it till the end… man… this sucks. I had gone to the town yard to grab a load of crushed asphalt (filtered t-base). The young guy on the bucket loader loaded me up soo high that he overloaded my trailer. Mind you, I have a 16’ long x 83” wide x 2’ high PJ tri-axle Dump trailer. My trailer is rated for 21K (not that I’d ever wanna overload it intentionally). There was NO way that the crushed asphalt was gonna dump… I had our John Deere 260 skid steer in the driveway and at that moment every freakin possible scenario passed my thoughts and I ended up recruiting my kids to to the hard work and I had them come over and help unload it, one shovel scoop at a time 😂 You can click on my account and see my recent video that I just posted about my dump trailer to get a good look at it. I’m glad that your dump trailer did not snap on you. And I completely agree with how you look at the situation where it isn’t really Customer’s fault even though if it is, but you’re owning the responsibility of the ultimate blame because of the whole contract thing. I’ve considered doing this, but I’m not 100% sure how I would write up a contract so I might just go ahead and take a peek at your contract/buy from you and see what it looks like.

Hey man I just came across your video, watched till the end. I hope it’s not too late to book a one on one, but I’m extremely interested in this. I’m about to start my own business in landscaping and my first purchase is going to be a dump trailer. I’m still in college so I’d like to have this as more or less a passive income that I don’t have to dedicate an extreme amount of time to and still focus on my studies.
