Thank you Rev Alan for a great service. I particularly enjoyed your sermon. Shared help to cross the winning line resonates strongly with me as I’m a severely disabled person with no family nearby. Yet in the last month God has provided amazing help with getting me moved from Wivenhoe to a more accessible flat in Colchester. One particular carer has worked her socks off for me, mostly unpaid, in order to get me straight. And she herself has health issues and needs an accessible home herself. I pray she gets one soon. You’re right, it’s love that’s eternal and will be remembered forever. Pam Glover

When I lived in South Africa we inherited an old Vine in the garden of the house we brought. We pruned it but we got no fruit at all in subsequent years we pruned it but it was only the year when we pruned it back to its trunk the we had the most incredible harvest. We were scared to prune our Vine hard but it was only then we had the harvest.

From Keith and Di Thompson: Another inspiring service - thank you to all who took part. The illustrations for 'All creatures of our God and King' were beautiful. However, we would have preferred the tune: 'Monmouth' for 'I'll praise my Maker while I've breath' and perhaps the congregation at Castle would have too!

We spent 16 years living in South Africa and had many occasions where we as a family decided to treat all those we met with love and respect. We had neighbors who would not speak to us because we had black friends. God can use us all in the places where we are. Pam Smith
