Welcome,
I've created this channel in order to give people a starting point for customising Funko Pop Vinyls.
I've been customising for around 4 years now, in which time I've customised a few hundred Pops from a variety of genres and there have been a number of things I've picked up along the way.
I'll be posting content as and when I can and will cover some of the following points:
- Materials to get you started
- Taking pops apart
- Painting
- Sculpting/moulding
If there is anything you'd like to see uploaded that you think would be useful then please let me know and I'll do my best to help.

what kind of paint are u using to get a smoooth surface???
I use Citadel paints. However, getting a smooth surface is more down to the consistency of the paint/water mix. If you don't add enough water to the paint, then you're likely to get brush strokes.
Would boiling a Pop that is flocked damage or ruin the flocking?
Thats a good question... I've never actually boiled a flocked pop so I'm not 100% sure lol. I'd say that there is a risk of the flocking coming away though because its just held on by glue and the heat will loosen it.

I just wanted to paint my Lemmy Pop Vinyl silver but for some reason... I used spray paint and then messed it up with primer... ah... I got confused and lost.
So do you have to glue back on the arms? or can you put them back on like the head? if so, which glue should i use?
Yeah, you'll need to glue them back on. Any Superglue should work really. I used 'Loctite precision max'

Awesome :) He's been so popular! I use citadel paints and have been using Army Painter spray primer, although, Citadel spray primer is good too.
Would you use the same process in painting if you are painting over a holographic pop ?
Like a glow in the dark one? Yeah. Just spray prime it first and then paint over it as normal.
how do you put back the body back to the head once you are done painting? do you need to heat it again?
Usually the neck plug should just go right back in place. Occasionally you may have to heat up the neck plug, but not the entire head. Just apply a could of drops of superglue for it to stay back in place.
Can u put a vinyl head onto the body of a pop that was a bobble head
Yes, as long as the neck plug fits the neck, and it it doesnt you can use a drill to make it fit haha. I'll do a quick video to demonstrate soon

😂 I think it passed a few hundred pops ago. I get more nervous about cutting my thumb! Lol
Pops look like potatoes when in a pot😂 great video man glad I know how to do this now
😂 on more than one occasion my wife has walked into the kitchen asking what I'm cooking only to find pops in the pan haha.

Adam Ant pop is awesome man...massive collector and unboxer of pops myself and I was only thinking the other day there should be an Adam Ant pop...that Keith Flint looks awesome man great stuff
