@@blacjackdaniels200 Okay so first you need a NES emulator. Here's a link to the one I use: www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/fceux.html It's free, so don't worry about having to buy something. Once that is installed, you go to the link in the video description to get the file you'll run with the emulator. The specific version I use is #4 (Hardtype + P2). From there run the emulator and open the TSB file you downloaded. Game should run and you're good to go.

Right? That's WILD. Believe it or not, that would NOT be the NFL record for INT in a game. It would tie for second. Most is 8.

Yeah it was the first thing I noticed too. I kind of like it, but yeah way different than the "Tecmo font" all their games used in this era.

If a team is set to "Skip" or "Com" then games involving those teams will be simulated unless they are playing any team set to "Man" control. I didn't have to play this game on my team's bye. If I didn't, then all the games would have been simulated.

The romhack is generally harder, especially if you choose the Hardtype variant.

No it should be usable in all game types (Man vs Man, Man vs Com, or Coach Mode, either 1 or 2 players)

@ sorry man I didn’t phrase that right. You can’t play the modded versions with updated players except for on a computer correct? Man I spent hours on this game and it’s still better than anything Madden has put out. The goat football game is still ESPN 2K5. Anyway thanks man.

@@jhawk4480 Ah - yeah PC is the only practical way unless you know how to homebrew your own NES cartridges and have that console. I agree - haven't played Madden since Madden 13 but I've taken a look at the latest versions and haven't been impressed with the gameplay. NFL 2K5 was amazing absolutely.

@ it was. Madden still can’t match it. I still have the old NES but it takes a lot of work to get it to go. lol. Blowing, barely inserting. All the old tricks.

Sblueman (the creator of the romhack) changed all the base ratings and the game itself varies the ratings each quarter and week via it's condition system.

There's a SET command you apply to the rom that increases the number of sprites that can be drawn, assuming the emulator you use supports such a feature (i.e. it doesn't hard enforce the NES-like sprite render limits) You can find the SET command here: sblueman.com/no-sprite-flicker-and-15-sprite-per-scanline-hacks-for-avs/ You can find info on how to apply SET commands here: sblueman.com/how-to-add-set-commands-to-tecmo-super-bowl-nes/

Yep! These updates and tweaks have been happening for many years now, and you can even get some of them on an actual NES cart. The first one I ever played was TECMO Super Bowl 2008. It had Brett Favre on the Jets, etc.

I'm using an emulator. In this video, I was using Mesen. I've since switched to FCEUX.

@ hey my friend is coming over Monday to download it from his computer I have a sd card in my retro he’s bringing his sd adapter how do he download all 4 updates so he would know how to do it when he gets here can u explain it so he would know

@@Maddengoon8888 He wouldn't need all four. At the bottom of the page I linked, there's download links. For example for the Hard Type + P2 on the road version, it would be this file: TSB-2024-v3.01-HARDTYPE-P2-HACK The different versions are just the hacks the creator used. The higher the version, the more things he changed from the original TSB.

You can use a NES emulator since this a fan mod of the game. Any platform that supports your emulator of choice should work.

It's been a while, but I know he had something like 95 MCV, 70s ZCV, and was in the mid 90's in all the physical skills (SPD, ACC, AGI) with around 80 AWR at the time (rookie year).
