I think The tiebreaker was a fair call because The D Soraki took the first round & Rubix the second. Rubix's second round but the tie breaker was pretty one sided & Rubix had enough in his round which it seemed like The D Soraki just wasn't able to counter in his last round. But it was a beautiful sight to watch all of his rounds through the Competition regardless of what genre of music The D Soraki danced to!

Oh really?? Damn! I had no idea. Now it makes so much sense how he was so comfortable dancing to this tune! Oh yes for sure, I have seen him use folk inspired movements in his dance before & transition into tuts so I knew he has some familiarity with either Vietnamese folk dances or more & that was what we think helped him connect better with our audience in India too! Thanks for sharing :)

completely agree. I feel like many dancers there, like T or Rubix, they did really well, but MT Pop's musicality and storytelling with his moves are too good. His story got peak as well, and it makes it very easy for us audience to follow.

I get what you're saying & I agree what you've you've mentioned about MT Pop's musicality & technical expertise. Something I also think differentiates him from the rest is his sequencing of movements. As you mentioned, with others it might seem at random even if they're in the pocket of the music but in MT Pop's case, his incredible storytelling really helps take us on a journey through his concepts. It's really great to watch. I agree with both your assessments of what MT Pop brings to the table above & beyond other dancers in the same bracket. Me personally cyphering, competing & taking workshops alongside him, I've seen his growth firsthand from 2017 & it has been phenomenal! Also, more reviews from this event are coming out too! :)
