It looks good to watch but if you think about it there is nothing amazing... Just four steppers spinning constantly at the same rate, not to mention the size of the holes compared to the pin's. Plenty of room for missed steps. The rapid X moves are just to throw us off as could be performed at any rate.... They are not counter rotating

Impressive, but I count only 7 axis, not 8.
4x motors spinning, motor on the left slides, motor in the middle slides, rotates, and moves left/right. Adds up to 8.

What is the motion control hardware used here??
I’m not the video owner. I use Planet CNC’s 9 axis controller (Mk3) It could probably do this.

Can someone please explain why it is 8 Axis. All I see is the motor on the left going backwards and forwards = 1 Axis. The motor in the middle going backwards and forwards, left and right, and rotating = 3 Axis. The 2 motors on the right are stationery. So thats 4 Axis not 8.
Okay, It seems like four axis, but please take a look the motor which is located at center. Four motors are spinning and left motor is going back and forth. And the center motor is also moving back and forth, and moves left and right, and then rotates to other direction. So it has total eight axis, not four!
