Elena had to dagger Rebekah becausse Stefan, Damon and Caroline are vampires so obviously they couldn't do it unless they wanted to die. Matt and Bonnie couldn't do it because that would make Rebekah suspicous since she wasn't that close with them especially Bonnie. Jeremy couldn't because of that same reason and also because Elena wouldn't want to get him involved with that. So that leaves only Elena. I don't know why this is so hard to understand.

The girl is flawed but she is not a pick me. This honetly sounds more like Caroline especially in season 1. The only time Elena sounded a little like a "pick me" is when she said that she's not gonna be one of those girls who's entire world revolves around some guy but other than that she never really put down any other women (who didn't deserve it anyway). Remember just because you're a woman doesn't mean you have to like other women who are bullying you.

I don't get when people say everyone was in love with Elena or likes Elena. What you are really saying is you guys are butthurt because....she had friends.... and romantic relationships...and because her family loved her....and you're going off what drunk, insecure, narcissistic, annoying, overdramatic, extremely insensitive, shallow and bitchy 17-year-old Caroline said in the first episode which she was obviously overexaggerating because she tends to do that, but you guys just take the little bimbo's word for it because you're gullible. In actuality, Elena generally got bullied/abused/tormented by most of the characters outside of Tyler, Matt, Bonnie, Jenna, Jeremy, and Alaric. Katherine hated her even though she did nothing to her, killed Caroline, tried to kill Jenna and is the reason Jenna died, Klaus hated her/wanted to kill her even though she did nothing to him, he killed Jenna, terrorized her and her friends, Rebekah was a total bitch to her, Kol tried to kill her brother at least twice, Stefan basically stalked her and tried to kill her in the same place where her parents died, Damon killed Jeremy because she rejected him, and he was generally awful to her. Bonnie and Jenna are probably the only ones who didn't try to hurt her at some point, but Jeremy and Alaric weren't exactly themselves when they did it otherwise, they wouldn't hurt her. Esther definitely didn't like her and neither did Mikael. Didn't he literally try to murder her when she was barely a little kid? Also, the fact that Stefan and Damon were only into her because of who she looked like is sad because it means they didn't really love her they just loved that she was basically who they wanted Katherine to be. Caroline constantly putting her down just because (supposedly) other people chose her first and taking her insecurities out on Elena and then having the nerve to basically call her self-centered. It's hilarious. You guys basically have the mindset that her family and friends should only like her if she is worthy of them like they're gods or something and she's some little peasant. What is so wrong with her having people who love her? She's not special but neither are any of you yet you probably have people who like you which would be surprising considering your attitudes.
