Be careful bro. No squid fishing is allowed in that spot. Read the sign there.....
@@omehk I’ve read the sign and website bro. These are the prohibited anemones, barnacles, chitons, cockles, crabs, mussels, octopus, oysters, pipis, sea urchins, starfish, snails and worms.
@@indosydneyfishing I like your content bro. I don't want you to get in trouble. Key word is "invertebrates" which is written on the sign(I think) and on the DPI website. Squid are classified as invertebrates.
Link to the tip cover?
@@jimt5683 tip cover?
I don't think I've ever seen you catch big fish. 😂😭
You obviously haven’t seen my previous videos 😂. Yeah I gotta admit this year was very difficult landbased, I caught bigger one on deep sea (94cm) and released 88cm because we had too many already. Hopefully next year more lucky🙏🤙
I agree mate Sydney being such a large city with so many people has to be one of the best places to fish despite all that.
Thats huge bro! Well done landing it, didn’t panic and rip any tentacles off 🤙 Mantap
Cheers bro, it was real challenge ☺️🙏
tighten your drag
I did once and it was sufficient bro. You don’t need tight drag for squid in case they fought back you’ll end up with just one of its tentacle
Why you don't set the hook? When fishing for squid i always set the hook with a small jolt. I haven't lost a single one, even when caught from the long tentacles.
I don’t find set the hook works well if under a meter depth of water, the squid jig will jump on the surface if I fail to set the hook.
What are the sunglasses mate?
Hey bro, it’s LXD Liive Scholz
What is the electronic device on your left wrist mate?
@@JP-qn4uo about time someone notice haha, it’s a remote for my 2nd GoPro but since I’ve been on my 4th hour, it was run out and I forgot to take it off 😂
What tide and time was this at?
@@tofei920 around midday before lunch. It was incoming tide (2 hours before high)🤙
Fighting squid😃
Always bro, it’s like fighting king😂
Indo nice vid bro
Cheers brother!🤙
where abouts in botany bay is this? Love the videos, keep up the good work!
Cheers bro, google map was my only source bro. I can’t say the location exactly to respect the locals here🙏
Aquatic reserve @beetlereeves1698 just don’t get caught by fisheries keeping squiddies big fines as squid comes under octopus family, stupid rules i know
Where exactly is this merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you too bro, can’t say exactly where the location bro to respect the locals here🙏
Ik where he is but im 🤐🤐🤐
It’s an aquatic reserve @heymant2004 if fisheries catch you keeping squid in these areas big fines so becareful
@@anthonyg7914 Where is it located? Is that Long Bay?
@@Depressed.-lonely.-fisherman pretty much most of the eastern suburbs from south head to the bay there are intertidal protected areas and aquatic reserves with only a few areas allowed that are not hand gathering sites,if you see octopus on the hand gathering sign just don’t get caught with squid by the fisheries in those areas thats all,as they will be pricks and fine you and confiscate them too but it’s rare to see them anywhere anyway,it’s not long bay
That's why it's called fishing, not catching. You picked a beautiful day to fish, and squid is better eating than most fish. I love your videos brother keep them coming and a Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Cheers mate, Merry Christmas to you and yours too!🎄
SNNAAAAAAAAAAPPP!
What was the swell that day?
1.4m at first light, then it changes drastically to probably 1.8m, we already stopped casting but some still staying there regardless the condition.
@@indosydneyfishing Some people don't learn and can't be told. An extra 400mm with a change in wave frequency can clear a ledge. A lot of people also don't realise theres more an 1 swell, but smaller swells from other directions that combine.
Stay safe Indo
If I would be interested in driving only just under a couple hours Eraring power station pumps hot water into lake maquarie and us know for producing juvenile GT, cobia, queenfish and a lot of other tropical pelagic species this far south
Crackquitos point 2
Seal grabbed em both.
Luckily it wasn’t there😂
I was advised a minimum of 30pound braid when fishing off the rocks
If you after big fish that’s not enough bro, 50lb at least with 50lb leader to be able to fight 60-80cm king. Above that you’ll need more.
Did you break off?
Also I'm about to use a 12ft on size 6000 tmmr😂, don't know how I'm gonna jig, just gonna use popper and stickbaits
12ft for jigging?😂😂 get yourself a 8-9ft MH or LM for jigging off rocks and beaches, I find 8'6 is perfect but def not 12ft haha
Ik, my only choice. Got no other rods, gonna wait till I got the money. Too heavy for jigging.
That's crazy! I reckon u lost one but landed one
I think you dropped one but landed the other
Was that this morning
Endeavour hasn't really produced consistent fish for a long time now. Good late night jewie spot, but feel like somethings changed in that inlet.
Cracking squid that
@@wbromfield thanks bro, video coming soon🙏
👍👍👍
Yea not much happening in this area the last few weeks mate...
It was actually not too bad to be honest, my upcoming videos you will see☺️
This is exactly my experience whenever fishing in Sydney. It's been killed by pollution and over fishing. I go out to Brooklyn now and hire a boat but even then you can still get maybe one or two sometimes.
Sometimes We didn’t have much of a choice where we fished, we lived in these areas, kids and family here too. Sometimes these places produced really good fish, just need to be in the right timing😔
Awesome.. May I ask as an owner of this rod do you think it could handle bigger fish like Amberjacks and Pelagics 10kg + ? Many thanks from Greece 🇬🇷 🙏
I think it should be manageable if the structures around you not too difficult to land the fish also you need the pe3 line with 6000 reel. I saw a few posts in Japan people landed a meter kingfish with this setup🤙
Beautiful session legend, loved the video!!!
Also, not sure I missed it but what jig head size are you using? :)
Hey bro, thanks. Jig size 2, weight around 1/4
Thinking of getting some jigs for the first time, what weight and colours should I first get?
Hey mate, that's a Rock Cale. Super common to see when spearfishing but not so common for them to take a lure🤙
Cheers mate! had some followers said the same thing too🙏
@@indosydneyfishing shame they are terrible eating 😆
nice video ,the way to take a footage is good 🙌🙌
makasih bang 🙏
Love the fish slide!
I think they are blackfish
I caught blackfish before bro, nah this one is different 🤔
Mate, nice sesh. Tell me, do you ever keep salmon to eat?
@@Tokolosi1603 thanks bro, honestly I never kept one myself. Either I gave it away to someone else who needing them or I released. Do you keep Salmon and cook? I also not sure how to cook them😔
@indosydneyfishing good on ya mate! Yea I have caught a few but never kept, I've been told by fishos that they aren't good for eating, they don't taste good. But I think I'll try, there's so many ways to cook it but not sure for sashimi. I prefer mostly Trevally to make ceviche!
@ 100% bro, I usually sashimi trev only when it’s over 50cm (rare😔). Taste better imho
Pardon me for chiming in, however i hear contrary ideas on the taste of salmon when bled properly and used in certain ways. For example, i follow Roger Osborne's fishing channel and he uses Salmon tthaike thai fish cakes, and they taste amazing. Good luck!
@@Kiduk90Greetings from Cairns Mates, Thai style Fish Cakes and my fave ….. Thai Yellow Curry base in coconut cream .. Simple and very tasty!
Kind of looks like a Baby Black Rockcod or something, not too sure. Nice bro 😆

Looks to be a female Herring Cale. Males are blue.
@@owenli7180 thanks bro, haven’t seen this fish this area before.
Was this today? I went there at 5 in the morning and it was already too choppy. 2.9m swell today apparently
@@GCbytheway definitely not today bro but around last week. I never go rockfishing when swell above 1.6m. Too risky. Unless it’s very high ledge😂
Hey man sorry to ask but how do you know when your lure is at the bottom and?
@@Terry-nn4wu if you fish in the same spot over and over, you’ll get an idea how deep, snaggy or not. So this place in front of me around 3-4m depth, I used weight 1/4, with the swell like this, around 10 seconds roughly it get to the bottom.
Never seen that thing before
