Pan Sauce Basics & Chicken Breast Mistakes
Great Video! Your WSM stuff got me into Smoking. Got my first a few months ago so far so good. Trying this for Valentines Day with the wife.
That’s great to hear! I’ve got another wsm video dropping in a week or so.
Outstanding job. Thank you for the discussion of fire management.
The Kroger story 😂😂😂
Excellent back story for delivering the main dish. Hope this comment gets the algorithm to show to a wider audience.
I appreciate it
I tuned out when I heard 100 to 200 $
They’re not cheap
@ hey man, ive watched a lot of your videos, i cant wait to smoke again on my smokey mountain but gastritis prevents me from eating the classics. I watched your healthy ribs video. Any recipes or ideas for smoking meats that is not very heavy on the stomach? Rubs are killing me.
Hey, sorry you're dealing with that. As you know, that definitely limits your options. You really have to stick to lean meats like fish, chicken breast, pork tenderloin or turkey breast. The other thing you will have to make sure to do is use light seasonings. Try to use a lot of fresh herbs if possible. You can substitute salt by using acid like lemon juice or coconut aminos. Maybe I can do some shorts with some recipes. Its hard for me to know for sure if something I cook will work though as I don't have anyone I cook for with gastritis.
@@Fork-And-Embers man that sounds awseome, thanks for the reply
Hell 😊 yeah brother.
That steak looks great! I noticed you was having a drink with your steak. What are you sipping on?
We are in the bourbon capital of the world lol. That particular drink was sazerac.
Looked. Awesome 👍👍👍
Too hot for TV! Looks great
🤣
Doesn’t the first comment get to try a steak?
Genuinely surprised your videos don't have more views. Ive got a Weber Smokey Mountain & only used it a handful of times, this has given me a kick to give it more of a shot. Much love from Scotland 🏴
I hear Scotland is beautiful. We have always wanted to visit. I’m glad you like the videos! It means a lot.
Another great video! Thank you!!
Appreciate it!
I never comment this but this is a great video. Funny and very informative.
Stupid meme every minutes he talk.
To each their own. This was one of my first few videos and still learning. Appreciate the channel engagement. Every bit helps.
Great video Joe! Would love a breakdown on how you edit your videos and what plugins you use for your videos like captions etc.
Hey there! I use adobe suite to edit. So everything from premiere pro, after effects, etc. I don’t really use any plugins to edit. I will sometimes use VFX from motion array. I did do all of the editing myself for a long time. The past few videos I have been collabing with an editor who uses Davinci. I do all of the color grading, etc and he composes the shots, graphics, etc. using a script and storyboard that I provide. I did everything myself up until a few videos ago. It’s definitely opened up more time to plan, shoot, etc. collaborating with an editor.
I went ahead and subbed to you! Your videos look clean and crisp man!
you talk way too much, and no show. bla bla bla bla bla lmao
Thanks for the channel engagement. Every little bit helps. Keep working on your music buddy. Sounds great
Great video man
Heck yeah! That's what I'm talking bout!
Great video, really enjoyed your content.
I’m happy to hear it!
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Other pit masters don't have your personality. It's true what Harry Soo said, "It's all ways about the pit master, not about the pit."
Love it! Thank you. Harry Soo was the man
Yo the clips are crazzyy
Looks ace, will definitely have to give them a try, my only concern is, is there any sugar in the mustard you use as a binder? if so what would you suggest as a good alternative?
There’s not sugar in the mustard I was using. Majority of them should have no sugar. Some might have like .3g per serving which is negligible. You also don’t require the binder. You could use oils as well which have no sugars.
@@Fork-And-Embers Thanks for clearing that up. definitely a recipe I will have to try soon as I am always looking for ways to lower my sugar intake while keeping on eating food I love:) keep up the great work.
Well I’ve got a lot of content for this BBQ But Healthier series coming!
Outstanding! I'll give this a try.
Let me know how they turn out!
Good grief that music is unbearable
🔇
Great information. Thank you.
🥪🤤🍑💨💥💩🫵
🤣
This was a really great video. Great job. 😊
2:57 yeah, I’m never doing that
🤣 yea I thought the same. They’re confident in their skill I guess
Great smoker for the money with 2 things that the old country g2 fixed.
Great!
Looks wonderful. I really like smoking a chuck roast and putting bits of that with a bunch of stir fry veggies. If you stay away from a heavy sauce, the smoke flavor still comes through.
That’s similar to what I do with steak and pulled pork. I’ll try it with a chuck roast for sure
Made this turkey for Christmas here in the Netherlands. I’m afraid you made me the designated turkey chef within the family for the foreseen future 😂
That’s awesome! It’s a blessing and a curse lol
"Yeah, fuck this door" 😂
Thanks dude. I got the tiny one, and was just trying to get an idea on the best way to go about it; you helped! Happy New year.
Glad I could help. Happy New Years!
When everyone is using a "B??" free brining bucket, why do you need a "Brining Liner"?
Not everyone will. Most people grab something from Lowe’s or Home Depot not realizing it’s not food grade. So just to be safe, I tell people to use a liner
The whole smoker is manufactured in Mexico not just the smoke stack. Why do you think they are named “Old Country “ lol
I had found a lot of conflicting info when looking into it.
Can’t wait to try this 😋
Xmas, 15hrs, 225 degrees, SUPER DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!
Heck yeah man!
I'm 4 and 1 on the WSM, I think I'm ready for a Brisket
I’ll get one up for you! Not so bad on the wsm!
Another great video! Great job on the weight loss, those aren't small numbers. What's the song that plays around the 5:10 mark?
Thank you! So I use artlist.io for royalty free music. This song is called tempted but I’m not sure the artist
This looks phenomenal!!!!
160lb is a huge effort. Good man. This looks great.
Did you use salted or unsalted butter?
Always unsalted. I like to control the salt levels in the seasoning
@@Fork-And-Embers That was my thinking too! Between the frozen bird, the brine, the injection, and then the rub...I figured that you used unsalted butter. Great video...making me want to break out my Weber Kettle!
Love a good Weber kettle! Hard to beat it
Thanks for keeping it real, and simple. Btw Beautifully done
I appreciate that!
Followed your lead and did a 16lb turkey. Brined it and injected it cooked it whole and it turned out great! Did a pork butt to go with it also turned out great! You have created a monster!
That’s awesome to hear! And I know how it is when you get obsessed with BBQing. Los of rabbit holes.
How long did the ribs take ?
I’d say they were about 5 hours. I cook until they’re probe tender
What was the song you played during the trimming section??
That was a royalty free song that I used from a website called artlist.io
Made this same recipe with a 9lb cut on a pit boss pellet grill/smoker. Perfection. 10/10 recommend this video
Appreciate all the information! The biggest problem I am having is not getting up to temperature. I know I have added enough charcoal. I live up in the Pacific Northwest and figure because of the coldness and humidity that may be the issue but man it get frustrating that it takes up to two hours just to get to 225. I could be doing something wrong. I have the smallest version. Using both regular and lump charcoal at different times and still having the same issue. Any ideas with this very small amount of information?
Yea that’s odd it’s taking so long. I’d say once you throw the lit charcoal on, leave the cooking chamber removed for about 5 minutes. Open all vents then put the cooking chamber back on. This might work.
It looked great until you ruined it with the sauce. Correctly cooked prime rib should not have sauce on it
To each their own buddy! Eat it how you like. Thats what’s so great about cooking your own food
Perfect simple and amazing recipe.
I appreciate it!
