Hey Matty Love your work I gotta couple questions, what would you change about the GDMBR trip and what gear would you change?
Could this work with top pull cues FD? Working on putting together a drivetrain for a bridge club frame.
You think the rd-u6000 derailleur would work on this same setup? I know its "suppose" to be a 1x rd but it would have more capacity for a 51t.
Thanks for this. I enjoyed. I confess had a little giggle at the toothbrush cut in half and the five power packs. :D
I am hoping to use this bike for commuting purpose, just like you. Overall, is this an endurance frame and thus more comfortable for riding more on the hoods at an upright position? I am currently using Triban RC 520 and hoping to upgrade to this.
What month is the best month to tackle this? Looks like early July here?
Camped all across Canada in Walmarts and mcdonalds, no one ever minded. there would always someone camping there. Like a flash mob, and gone in the morning.
The railer seems like he's hanging way low that's a long cage
For sure
Uhaul is extremely expensive in NY 😢
Yeah it was kinda pricey
Whereabouts is this mate? I found this video researching the early days of the Bunnings business - they once owned a sawmill in North Dandalup - is this one around there?
Pemberton. Burnt down and removed now unfortunately. Glad I went though when I did
also put dark color material on front window covers facing outside and no one will think your sleeping in van
Ended up doing so
please make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector
Yep got one
That's deore
It's amore
Great video mate! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, I enjoyed your videos on the Florida C2C. I have been planning this ride with camping. You seem to have found all the campgrounds. Could you send me the link to you RWGPS file? Thanks
Im not sure I had one. But there is bound to be others up there
That noise was a tornado siren! In Arkansas they test the sirens every Wednesday at 12pm. Pretty cool!
Thanks for the info!
I live in the area and its all chill if u know were things are
Is if lifepo4 battery ??
Really not sure!
Hi, do you think 28c tyres would fit on this?
I have the disc brake version and 28mm fits. I think 25mm are the max recommended for the rim brake version.
Yes I run 28 gp5000
@@Matty.Freedom thank you!
I have same bicycle. I'm 78 yo and ride my Merida daily - weather permitting ( Melbourne ! ) - only do around 8-10 kms each ride, keeps my 'hinges' moving. Happy with my choice, the 105 groupset does a good job, brakes are A1 in my opinion. Put Conti gatorskins on the rims, that's the only upgrade. Will do me for many yrs to come.
The best upgrade for sure.
I've a Scultura 901. Goes like a dream
Incroyables ces singles... faut vraiment les trouver Muy gay, me gusta muchisimo
For sure
Had one in red , and was silly enough to sell it. I also had a card 12 and the scultura 400 was every bit as good in my opinion.
Very interesting
is 50A too much for 10meter if 25mm2
Not sure mate
I live in this area and when you started mentioning Magnolia Park, I was thinking, "Uh oh...bad idea." You made the right call to head for the horse park. First of all, Magnolia would entail a long detour off the trail and, secondly, it's never been a campground. Just tables and views. Glad you avoided wasting your time and miles finding that out.
Ah good to know!
Hey mate, enjoying the videos. Did I meet you in 99 bikes today?
Yeah most likely lol
@@Matty.Freedom knew I recognised you. Awesome. Cheers for the advice mate 👍
Good luck ,be safe
Thanks!
timestamp 15:00 It's someone trying to be another Banksey. Google "Banksy" if you don't already know about him/her (no one really knows exactly who the person is).
at timestamp 9:38: "Auto Train." It's a train that hauls entire cars (autos). It's used by northerners to show up in Florida with their own auto, play around, and then train back north. Or, like me (near enough to Orlando), I could use it to train up north with my own car. Considering the cost of gas to drive your own car or the cost of air travel then renting a car, it comes out about even to travel north and arrive rested (having a sleeping berth) and with your own car.
Pretty awesome
To me, these have been the best C2C videos yet. You really show the detail of towns, routes and trails. Thanks Ausie dude!
Thanks! Was a sick trail for sure
Well done dude. Just found your travels and enjoy the way you show us the trail and the scenery. Ps, lol on identifying as a Sheila. Dave of NW Florida.
Hahah thabks!
Did I just see you walking in Armadale or was it your doppelganger? I literally stopped my bike after passing you and was gonna turn back to chat but didn't know for sure if it was you or not, did I make a mistake?
Nah don't venture down there too often!
It seems that once you get your ass seated, it flares out to accommodate your particular size ass. If you have a big ass, the C19 might be a decent option.
You put black on the outside at night of your window covers. Just go get you some black felt and glue it onto your window covers and use the black part for nighttime.
We actually did in the end. Was well worth it. Our local library had free sewing machines!
I meant to do this trip this week but I was too lazy. Now watching your video makes me regret not doing it. 😄
@@person.X. yeah you can't really go wrong. It's a good trail for those of us who are lazy lol
Thanks for the content! What helmet do you ride with?
@@kehead1 it's the met rivale. Just got it. Super comfortable and only about 220 grams or so. Best helmet I've ever owned. I'll do a video on it
“Not the DI2, what a loser”. Lol.
Lol
Wow, you finally got new jersey! 😊
Lol actually it's kinda old too. Think I used it for the mundabuddi
It works by removing the oxygen. Done it tons of times. Just leave the duck tape on for 14 days and gone. You can also use type nail varnish too. The important thing is to seal it completely from oxygen. The reason it took so long time is that you let it get air and recuperate.
Good advice
Thanks for sharing your adventures
For sure!
That railway station you were riding along was at Clackline. As you probably found out when you get to the bitumen it gets hilly and tougher 😉🤣
Yes the last section was a bit of a surprise
Hey mate strongly suggest you blur out or cut out the CC
Came here to say the same thing, it's easy to read.
Thank you. I was looking for a way to get to the start of the Munda Biddi and now I know I can use the Heritage trail.
Yep!!
I know this is a year old but know that bears can open doors with handles like that one, for future information
Crazy !
Looks nice, but its got to be one of the most insecure I'v seen.
Never fell off lol
excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Great series mate enjoyed watching them all slowly over the last two weeks. I am concerned by your diet though 😂
Lol fair enough
I rode part of this trail before, but want to ride it from Port Angeles to Rialto Beach. All your commentary was very helpful!
Thanks much appreciated. Such a lovely place
