Turns out the layout is literally the "very hard" layout, the mission uses the set file for it.

If I were to hazard a guess (as someone who has never looked at Unleashed's code before), since the prototype is like only two weeks prior to the final build, and as such, they share a lot of leftover assets, it's likely that the final game probably never fully removed the actusl data for these trial types. Since these two versions of the game most likely share a very similar, if not identical, save file system, one could easily assume that just having it unlocked in the prototype would mean the final game would be tricked into believing the player is supposed to have access to them, since the save data file is calling for access to the trial data that is still within the final game's files.

In fact another game actually works like this, which is LocoRoco 2 in which you can actually backport a save file from the final game and it’ll work in the prototype build. But it still doesn’t really answer the question on how the game (Sonic Unleashed if you couldn’t tell) thinks you have unused features unlocked when a normal 100% doesn’t do that.. Usually it takes modifying a game save to unlock unused features..

​​@@ToonyTailslike they said, the proto is suuuuuper late so they probably didn't actually delete any of the cut content there and instead just redirect to what replaced it. I'm gonna assume it's literally as simple as the menu pulling from what valid stages you've played on that save file and seeing the proto stuff as perfectly legit since they're still there They wouldn't make huge sweeping changes over the course of a few weeks before launch

The proto debug mode has an option to make the save 100% complete, which includes these unused hotdog missions, which cannot be completed normally.

You can do it if you will run the retail game with the .xex from prototype, which still have debug menu in it

It's a power boost in Cyberspace stages, you can unlock it by completing Cyberspace challenges on S rank

I think you mean de Spin Dash, which is obtainable by doing all the Action Chain Challenges with S Rank on each island

Nope to both things. This is a scene that happens near the climax. Sonic manages to save Amy, Tails and Knuckles from Cyberspace and gets corrupted as a result. He gets cured, however, and with the aid of Sage defeats the final boss (only available in the hardest difficulty, if not, you only get a qte).
