i really like sailling with the adrestia and i'm really curious about what they are singing and if it is related to any events in game or maybe things related to the story. maybe you could do a video on that?
I love this content love to see more.
The historical aspect of this game being as accurate as it is was mind-boggling my first time playing. Great video as well!
It’s so good how accurate it is; a phenomenal resource but still loads of fun!
really appreciated your interpretation of the metopes and eastern pediment! recently i read something that discussed which version of the chariot race myth the pediment depicts and i found that a rather engaging question. I’m curious if you know whether the in-game pediments are based on any extant material? i’ve managed to link the metopes - as you did - and a number of the statues in the game to real world examples but haven’t managed to do the same with the pediments.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍 Yeah, I’m not too sure, as you say, most things seem fairly recognisable but I’m not too sure about the pediments 🤷
i have been playing ac odyssey almost non stop this weekend and i love just exploring the world and when i walk past temples and other things you have covered in your videos i really like to just take my time and take a deeper look at them and just knowing alot more things about it.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the game; I think it has great replay value! Also, really happy to hear the videos are useful!
Very interesting! The statue is huge!
Also worth mentioning that statue was later copied by Byzantine artisans, for the image of Jesus. This is why Jesus is mistakenly portrayed as a white Greek. The face even appears on the Turin Shroud.
Wow! That’s really interesting; didn’t know that’s where the inspiration came from!
I thought it was fortnight c5 s2
im sure they justified the expenditure by saying something like "angry gods attract even more invasions, therefore massive temples should keep the barbarians away!"
love the mix mate, would enjoy watching more videos like this!
Glad you like it, got a few more of these in the works 🙌
Epic!
🙌🙌🙌
You should do AC3 or Unity or black flag maybe even the Ezio trilogy
love the video. I have bought ac origins and Odyssey and i'm really looking out to play both of them
@@guustmouton4219 So glad you liked the video, I’ve got a bunch more content planned, including using Origins!
great video and love this type of content. for the gameplay part, if you want to assassinate and his health bar is all red, no need to hold triangle to assassinate, a simple assassination will do the job , only by hitting triangle
Ah, thanks for this, always thought you had to hold it in no matter the health bar! Glad you liked the video 🙌
Love thes types of videos. I loved the archeology tour they made in both odyssey and origins :) studying history myself right now and these games make learning so much more fun
@@awesomedinosaur3033 The discovery mode is great, such a good idea 👍 Glad you liked the video - lots more in the works!
I like that he is able to play the game while also teaching me a lesson while still not making it boring like other channels.
Im glad you liked it 🙌
Enjoyed the style. Keep these coming up :)
@@lonelypredator5892 Glad to hear it, I’ve got lots more of these in the works 🙌
You can use tour mode to avoid combat
Absolutely, but the combat is fun to squeeze in every now and again 😂
have you beat the game because i'm planning on buying it and do you think it's worth it because i really like the time period of the game.
@@guustmouton4219 Yep, the game is solid throughout, loved it 👍 I’m uploading a video with some more gameplay this weekend if you’re interested in seeing more of it in action; I thoroughly recommend Odyssey and Origins 🙌
@@mrhindesclassicschannel thank you i'm gonna buy ac Odyssey this weekend. I did 2 years of Latin and it really sparked my interest in that era
how did Ubisoft failed so miserably in the case of Japan but has such amazing details in Origin, Odyssey and Mirage
the B in bouleuterion or boule is pronounced like a V
I love the style of this video, a history lesson, using a video game as visual reference. Really entertaining 👍🏻
@@ELP2626 glad you like it! Got plenty more on my channel 👍
@@mrhindesclassicschannel Looking forward to watching them 😁
I have loved this game. It is incredibly detailed and beautiful.
Yes! Odyssey and Origins are both so well done 🙌
Very interesting thank you 👍
Glad you like it 👍 As ever, lots more videos in development!
Wow never seen this type of content using a game! This is awesome and your voice is perfect for this 🔥
So glad you like it! Lots more content in the works 🙌
I am loving this series. I wish I was able to appreciate the depth of this world in my playthrough. Maybe you would like to do something similar where you playthrough the game along with organic commentary if you enjoy making those.
Thanks so much! I do have plans for a few different series like this, including some live streams 👍 I’ve got a busy half term of filming coming up 🙌
1:24 Euboulos mentions witnesses among the many things seen within the Agora, what exactly does he mean by "witnesses". Does he mean witnesses of a crime or a wedding?
Interesting, I’m not sure now you ask, I always assumed it was witnesses of crimes to be summoned in the Heliaia
Love the video sir, glad to see your uploading again
Professionally Educational‼️ Soundly Solid Narration‼️ Subscribed‼️ .M
Thanks for the kind words 🙌 Lots more content in the works!
Great informative video. Thank you for making this. I love this breakdown of actual sights like this. Got a sub. 🙏🏼
Glad you like the video and thanks for the sub 🙌 Lots more content in the works 👍
So cool, great video! How don't you have more followers!! What have you got planned next?
Thanks for the support! I’ll be uploading a video exploring the Athenian Agora next week 🙌
You're doing an amazing job! I always walked around in this game wondering about the meaning behind all. Thank you very much!
Thanks! Glad you like the videos, lots more in the works!
Great video. I do want to point out, that the Leonidaion is anachronistic since this game takes place about one hundred years before its construction, I'm sure you already knew that though :).
That’s right, in 330 B.C - I wonder if this has something to do with increased attendance after the Macedonians conquered Greece? I know that in 338 B.C. Philip or Alexander also commissioned the Phillepeion Tholos dedicated to Philip and his family - so they’re certainly responsible for adding to the site!
This is really cool ty I like to learn about the history and the way you are doing it. Here is great. Can you put sources?
Glad you like the video - I’ll put a list of sources together and attach to this comment when I have a bit of time 👍
holy fk how do you only have 629 subs, this was amazing! AC origins is the most recent AC ive played all the way through and all of the sites gave me massive goosebumps
@@tomandgames370 Much appreciated 🙌 It’s early days of the renewed channel but I’m building it day by day! Lots of videos in the works! Origins is beautiful, I love exploring all the different sites!
@@mrhindesclassicschannel Subscriber 642 xD Can't wait for more content this was really amazing
@@Denis19912 🙌🙌🙌 Much appreciated! Lots more content in the works!
Play Oddysey and Valhalla, very breathtaking graphics and visuals as well
I wasn't actually expecting a history lesson when I found this video on my recommended, but I'm so glad I clicked on it. I love AC Origins' reconstruction of 1st century Alexandria and all of Egypt. Such a beautifully designed world while containing this much historical detail. Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙌Lots more AC content coming! Origins is such a beautiful game!
Yes!!
This is a series? Exciting!❤
Yep! Got lots more videos in the works; just finished up one on the Agora and another at Olympia 👍
It's such an awesome site to look around
As a Classical Studies student and Elden Ring fan, this channel was such a nice find!
So glad you enjoyed the video! I’m planning some more Elden Ring content in the near future and have lots of Assassin’s Creed videos already in the works!
Another great video! Keep it up
This is pretty cool. I love how your giving a presentation on the creature whilst fighting for your life at the same time lol. Keep it up, these are quite fun to watch.
Lol, the struggle was really!
Thank you for the knowledge I really like ac odyssey and it's interesting to learn more about ancient Greece. I can't wait to watch this channel grow, keep it up! P.s. Your voice is really nice to listen to!!!
Thanks so much for the comment! I’m so glad you like the content! Lots more videos already in the works and a new video coming on Monday 😃
Assasains creed odyssey, goated game, needs more respect at like around red dead level.
An incredible amount of work has gone into this game! Hoping Ubisoft do Rome in the Late Republic!
Maybe one set in China would be cool, you earned my sub.
🙌🙌🙌
I remember when you taught me. You were really good Latin teacher
Glad you enjoyed the lessons 👍
Return of the king 🙌

Great news!
The “fault line and hallucinogenic ethylene fumes” Delphi myth has been debunked. Look for “The Ancients” podcast, Oracle of Delphi, Garrett Ryan explains (30 minutes in).
I'm glad you're not using tacky AI thumbnail plus Assassin's creed has a ton of materials for thumbnail.
So many cool locations to make thumbnails, and the photo tool is really good!
So happy your back!!! Your videos helped during GCSE and a level revision (so thank you for that) and the return perfect timing for the start of my classics degree!!! Can't wait for the new videos. :D
Glad the channel has been useful for you and I hope it continues to be! I hope you have the best time studying Classics at university!
