Many thanks. It was an early start for this one but well worth it! The lens was starting to fog up a bit on those close up shots at the top of the falls. Wish i could have got more footage but ran out of battery power.

Loved the video col, just a bit pixelated on the dynamic movement but other than that action packed 👍

@@freestyletowers2617 Thanks, that`s the main drawback with the Insta 360 X3. Unless your filming in optimum lighting the footage does get grainy/pixelated. It wins in terms of being able to reframe in post and pull off shots it would be difficult to replicate with a non 360 camera.

@@TitanAerialPhotography Thanks Joe, yes it was the main reason I took the X3 over my drone. As i was holiday with others I wouldn`t have been able to put the same time/focus into capturing the footage. Plus I didn`t have the time to research into Madeira`s drone flight regulations. It`s quite easy to capture the full 360 degree footage. The creative side comes afterwards when you then get to reframe that 360 footage to a single view. It is a longer work flow and the image quality isn`t as good as a dedicated camera. However, What you lose in quality you gain in the ability to capture creative shots that would be difficult to replicate with any other camera. There are a couple things to bear in mind. The X3 resolution for full 360 degree coverage is 5.7k but then the flat/reframed footage is equivalent to 1080P. The 8k resolution of the X4 will be a welcome upgrade. Although you can reframe the footage in the Insta 360 studio you can`t edit it on a timeline with other clips. To do this, you still need to import it into another editing program. For the best quality and flexibility, you will need a editing program that supports 360 reframing. The best ones I know of are Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro.

Hello Phillip. Glad you enjoyed the video. I didn't have the time to research into the drone regulations in Madeira, so can't comment. All the footage shot in this video is using the Insta 360 X3 camera. If you are not aware, this is a 360 degree camera. It's mounted on a 1 metre selfie stick. The clever part is the software erases the selfie stick out of the footage so it looks a floating camera. Neat trick and allows for some very creative shots.
