Exo Armour?

This was my army. I was always highly annoyed that they never finished the spacial characters especially Thalindor Doomstar and Gwynir(I'd have to dig out my old book to see if spelling is right).

I was so enamoured by these guys, just never had the funds for a WH army

Minor trivia: in Germany they remand Wallach harkon to Shaitaan Harkon. Why? Simply put Waalach in German is a term for Geldling

I played this list in the mid 90s! Child me had the bright idea of collecting it because the models could also be used for fantasy. I remember the codex saying that the list was for narrative gaming and you should come up with your own daemon prince characters, so I just gave Bloodthirster stats to a big skeleton. Dunno what happened to them all, could probably still play them using the cultist / torment / spawn / beastmen units in the current codex.

These character models had a big part in getting me into the hobby.

Some of the vintage models are hilariously ugly, but I find these demons charming.

5th edition HE militia could take HEAVY ARMOUR!!!

I remember Tyrion during 7th edition. He had a 4+ save that went better with every wound he got. So by 1 hitpoint he had a 2+ save. And yes, he kept the coming back to life thingy. However I miss the old design of the miniatures. There was something special about it.

I miss 4th edition. It was one of the best editions and my favourite one. Later editions turned more and more into high power fantasy. I also loved the fact that undeads were more versatile back then. Vampires later basically became melee only and every strategy was basically the same. Buff your vampire and send everything with him into the fray. You either break the enemy or die, end of strategy. Edit: didn't the mummies have regeneration? I just remember that regeneration was really strong and as long as one model remained, all the others could regenerate back to life.

From what I remember a Chaos Lord with all 4 marks in chaos armour with terminator armour was unkillable against strength 3 models so effectively if only the chaos lord was left on the table against Imperial Guard it would be a slow hard to hand but unsure if that was me misinterpreting the rules.

Abaddon's black crusades werent failures? You can argue that retcons changed them but those retcons are literally 19 years old now if 2005 was the relaease date of the Liber chaotica. I just dont get the hate abaddon gets and Im reading the 2nd edition codex rn and nothing stands out as a failure other than they were pushed backed but left irreprable damage on the galaxy? The only thing that I understand is the armless part.

Can you use Vanhel's Danse Macabre on croak if you are undead? 😆
