    10/1/2024 10:56:00 AM - At 0507UTC / 01 OCT The master of merchant vessel has reported an incident 97NM northwest of Al Hudayah, Yemen. The Master has reported the vessel has been hit by one missile starboard side aft. The vessel has sustained damage to its engine. Vessel is not currently underway and is stationary. All crew are reported as safe. At 0534UTC The operations manager has been in contact with the vessel. There was an indication that the engine room is on fire, there is dense smoke. They have not been able to re-contact the vessel since the last update. AT 0745UTC was reported that the vessel is drifting whilst the crew carry out a damage assessment. They have not seen any oil spills so far. When complete they will continue to their next port of call of Suez. ***This Vessel was Hit***

    UPDATE Alert number 085 / 2024. At 0150 UTC / 01 OKT a merchant vessel was reported under attack by possible drone/missile while transiting the red sea in position 15 05 N 041 47 E. 0150 UTC The Master reports 3 splashes by unknown projectiles, in close proximity to the port bow of the vessel. The 1st splash occurred at 2125 UTC 30 Sept 24, the 2nd at 2225 UTC 30 Sept 24 and the 3rd splash occurred at 0140 UTC 01 Oct 2024. Vessel has not sustained damage and is not listing. No reported causalities; The vessel and crew are reported to be safe and is proceeding to its next port of call. 0217UTC The Master reports that a damage assessment will take place at 0615 Local time. 1st splash occurred near starboard stern, the 2nd and 3rd splashes occurred 50metres and 10 metres from the port bow respectively. Sparks and smoke were observed by some of the crew members. The duty officer mentioned possible floating objects such as mines. The vessel is continuing its transit to its next port of call. 0253UTC The Master reports a 4th splash from unknown projectile 100 metres away from the stern starboard, vessel has not been hit but the Master his now requesting assistance from coalition forces. 0500UTC the master reports that the vessel has been hit by an Uncrewes Surface Vessel (USV) on the Port side. It`s been reported that a water ballast tank and a fuel tank has been hit. 0510UTC The Company Security Officer (CSO) reports that there was an explosion on board and that communication with the Master has been lost, but UKMTO is in contact with the Master, ***This Vessel was Hit***

    Where do the fenders between the sides come from when loading ship to ship? Are they transported on one of the ships?

    Good👍 interested your opinion. What more difficult calculation of ullage? Simple tanker or chemical tanker?
