Ghouls & Fools meet in La Conner, WA

What a great evening of spooky festivities. Ghouls and fools appeared in La Conner at O’Niels  confectionery and soda fountain located in the hotel planter building. The courtyard was dawned with Halloween paraphernalia, ghoulish gifts, and a special appearance by the witches of Skagit, who danced, taught the broom dance and everyone celebrated together.

The song that was created by a man named Peter Fox, and the song is called Schuttle Deinen Speck otherwise known as shake your bacon. It’s a story of a man admiring women dancing. A group of ladies from Germany took the song and created choreography that quickly went viral and became aWorldWide dance.

It was just today that I learned about this whole culture of making spontaneous dance happen. I love it...I'm in kind of a similar thing, this street band called School of HONK.
Apparently sunglasses help and the dogs definitely don't favor the color red - even though that's probably their mom-witch.
In my dream world, I get a Witche's Dance group going in Shelton (WA). Then, we celebrate all Witches that want a "coming out" announcement by doing the dance :)

I have organized our first annual witches dance for this Sunday Oct 29! I just saw it on TH-cam and decided it would be fun for our town so I asked the Women's Centre if they would like it as a fundraiser for them and they were thrilled! it's a great pairing. Women empowerment! Wish me luck! We are having drumming, juggling, psychic and tarot reading, kid's crafts, broom making and more! We are doing a flash mob of the dance every 20 min with instructions on the side for those who just show up. It's a 4 hour long festival from noon to 4 pm.
