Harriet Zaidman, author of "Second Chances" (Red Deer Press 2021), talks to Paul Alexander about how hope was essential for polio victims to overcome the effects of this terrible disease. She tells him about how she used his story to inspire hope in the characters in her novel, which won the prestigious Geoffrey Bilson Award for Historical Fiction for Young People in 2022.

Cecil launches his 3rd book, Manipulating the Message, at McNally Robinson on November 2, 2023. Hope Kamin, whose editing skills make it better, came in from Dundas, Ontario. A hundred and fifty people came out to hear Cecil speak, with 70 more online. Lots of information, lots of laughs, and a big surprise when newly-minted premier Wab Kinew dropped in.
