October to December 2024 Sketchbook Tour (with explanations)
suannazhong.com/
Here’s a sketchbook tour from October to December 2024. I focused more on ideation rather than creating pages that I felt looked "pretty" to my taste, and since I enjoyed talking in the last video a lot, I gave some explanations this time around. This sketchbook got completed much faster than I would like, so I'll definitely try to slow down next time. As always, it’s super fun to track my progression and I hope you guys find it interesting.

My Super Epic Art School Semester
มุมมอง 26614 วันที่ผ่านมา
suannazhong.com/ These are my paintings this semester. Unlike other semesters at CMU where I've prioritized trying to clear through the CS curriculum, I spent a lot more time on art and I saw a lot of interesting progress. I hope that this video can serve as a time capsule for me to look back on in the future to see how my art evolves. Let me know if you enjoy the talking and would like more vi...

June to October 2024 Sketchbook Tour (No Talking)
มุมมอง 1.1K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
suannazhong.com/ Here’s a sketchbook tour from June to October 2024. Similar to my recent sketchbook video, a few pages are Viviana’s drawings. This one is twice the size and I tried to spend more time with it, which is why it took me longer to fill it up. The pages in the beginning are much faster and loose, and towards the end, I tried to focus more on slowing down and rendering. Overall, it’...
August to October 2024 Sketchbook Tour (No Talking)
มุมมอง 4.4K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
suannazhong.com/ Here’s another sketchbook tour from August to October 2024. I did my best to bring it everywhere and a few pages are Viviana’s drawings. Having a smaller size is nice because it’s easier to bring everywhere and I feel like I really made the sketchbook my companion. If I forgot to bring it to school I would miss it a lot and my day would be ruined! There’s less of a focus on tec...

suannazhong.com/ I noticed that the way I draw has changed quite a bit these past few months, so I thought it would be cool to document where I at right now in terms of technical ability and what subjects interest me. I’m very excited to look back on this video in the future to see how my art will change. Music: Six Songs for Invisible Gardens by Green-House

If the size of the shirt is cm, what size should I take so that it can be cut into a boxy shape?
it works basically the same, if your shirt is 55x75 you should cut 20cm to get this boxy cut
This is so perfect, thank you
wtf
omg
i wish there was English translation to this beautiful song😢
I believe this song is a cover of Tranquil Eye by Cocteau Twins!
The interaction with the audience feels so personal.
great job! your profile faces are spot on, and love your core shadow shading
I just started and I found this video very helpful :)
hi! i can't believe i haven't stumbled upon this channel before. i just wanted to say your art is so incredible and i dream of making stuff so visually and conceptually rich one day!!! i was wondering if you had any tips for transitioning from the purely visual/copying references stage of art (where im at) to more conceptual work?
Thank you so much, that is so sweet. It was helpful for me to get feedback from artists and non-artists as I was working on my portfolio, and I had a group of friends who were also making art. We would meet regularly and give each other feedback and bounce ideas off of each other which was super inspiring. Also, it helped for me to find a topic outside of art that I felt passionate about, and then I tried to execute my feelings through creating art. For example, when I was creating my portfolio, I was very inspired by fashion yet super unhappy with the state of the fashion industry. As a result, a lot of those complex feelings showed up in my work in a way that felt authentic to me. Good luck!
@@SuannaZhong thank you so much for the response! I feel so very inspired <3
Im in love with your style of sketching I really like the way your pages have their own vibe and esthetic <3
this video is actually 30 minutes long i had to stare longer your mind is beautiful
i love being part of your sketchbook <3
Lysm this was really really helpful
omg so trippy
Looks great!
Also mark how big your channels need to be, with some space, sew, then put in your bones, try to use bones that are not wrapped in fabric. Boning is very much important in structured garments like corsets and stays. Hope this helps 💓
Thanks for the tip!
I love how you took edwardian elements and made it modern, absolutely stunning
Thank you!
That's a great video. I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.
austin said he liked the song you used but was too scared to comment that himself lol
