I restore old & young-timer motorcycles and participate in rally events with them. I am neither a professional mechanic nor a professional rider, so it will be fun.
Honda NX650 Dominator Engine Rebuild Pt. 2
I bought a Honda NX650 Dominator with unspecified engine damage. I try to find the problem with the transmission, fix a few small additional things and ride it.

Honda NX650 Dominator Engine Rebuild Pt. 1

I bought a Honda NX650 Dominator with unspecified engine damage. I try to figure out the problem, fix it and get it back on the road.
Glad it worked out so well! Seems like the piston skirt will break in nicely!
I love your effort and hard work. You are talented 😊. Now hear me out when I tell you what I would have done. From the beginning I would have teared the whole engine apart including the cylinder head valves, gearbox, oil pump. When you put all this effort and money in then do it right the first time. Check every single part in the engine. Good luck brother👍👍👍
She's purring very nicely, good job!
Amazing content. Please make more videos and you'll explode in views and subscribers! :)
I guess I can kiss the next 40 minutes goodbye
You don't have to start the bike to check for oil pressure. Just disconnect the spark plug and crank it over few times. That's a lot easier on the engine and also much safer after a re build. The debris from the damaged piston and cylinder has to go somewhere, so if you didn't flush the crank case, the oil lines and the frame, ride the bike until its warm and immediately do another oil change. You can do that a few times with cheap oil to be on the saver side and hope that most of the debris gets caught in the filter and the magnet on the oil screw. You don't want that stuff do ruin your oil pump again. Check also the oil strainer in the frame. Part number should be 15500-MG3-000. A little tip for the next time you're doing it. If you install new parts, clean everything! Clean the freshly honed cylinder, clean the piston and clean the new rings. They might not look dirty to the eye, but when you clean them with parts cleaner and a fresh rag, you see how much dirt and debris is still on there.
Superb! Subbed for part 2 :)
What broken bolt remover tool do you use?
It was an USAG conical extractor
Really enjoyed the video man! Great cliff hanger, keen for Pt II :)
Waiting for part 2 then!!!
You did a really good diagnostic, and fixed the problem. Nice job ;)
This was my dream bike back in the day. Then I fell in love with Aprilia Pegaso. Then 25 years later (when both got extinct) I finally got my first bike.
That motor won't last long if you didn't flush the metal debris out of the frame/oil tank and clean up the crankcase.
Very good MMRally!! Keep it up!!💪
