Okay, maybe setting up a Japan PSN account isn't that much of a wase of time, but we shouldn't have to do that to begin with. See, SEGA trapped this collection in Japan for all the wrong reasons. Like, would it kill them to release SOMETHING Virtual-On-related overseas for a change?! I mean, COME ON!

@@bloodedge1528 I get you, but it's been five years since the Japanese release. Best to make peace with it and accept what we have. Also, I'll be honest, if this is meant to be an open appeal to SEGA, then saying outright that you dislike MARZ and Index to the point of considering them nonexistent, while simultaneously begging them for more Virtual-On products, is a bit unprofessional.

@@indigotrance3284 Let's be real here. There are a ton of reasons why MARZ never gets talked about. First of all, MARZ was essentially a console port of FORCE, it was basically SEGA taking the already broken FORCE and breaking it even more. Second of all, they tried to incorporate a half-assed, story-driven single-player campaign, reminiscent of Armored Core, complete was annoyingly shitty voice acting(at least in the NTSC release), in the game whose franchise was never even designed for to begin with. The only good thing about the story mode that MARZ had going for was that it had a ton of callbacks to the first two Virtual-On entries, but the way these callbacks where handled made hardly any sense and it feels like they were just put there for no apparent reason besides nostalgia pandering. One certain mission where you had to confront your evil counterpart of your selected mech, had you visiting that old Moongate from the first game in the series, which been demolished two annual installments ago and therefore shouldn't even exist anymore(unless it's a different version of the Moongate, having been made to be a one-for-one recreation of the original), as well as the return of Tangram, who just magically reappears for whatever reason since SEGA couldn't stop beating a dead horse, thereby having her presence render the plot of Oratorio Tangram pointless. As for Index? Hooooooo BOY! *Don't even get me STARTED on Index!* Like, I don't even know where to begin with that trainwreck. Index changed damn-near everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about Virtual-On. Instead of having the ruleset revolving about depleting an opponents health gauge, which was Virtual-On was known for due to the series' nature as a 3-D ARENA FIGHTER, they decided to switch that out for a clunky-ass point system with way to strict penalties for players who suck at the game. And the worst part?! *YOU! CAN'T! USE! TWINSTICKS!!!!!!!* Yes, the one control scheme that the console ports of Operation Moongate and Oratorio Tangram used don't work here. However that ain't the first time that happened. It happened with MARZ first. How bad did it flop? To the point where SEGA had no choice but to LITTURALLY *yank all the game's sales, but physical and digital, from every storefront in existence!* I guess you could say the Index being a Japan-only release due to extreme licensing difficulties was probably a blessing in disguise since SEGA did not want to share their pain with the rest of the world. If anything, SEGA originaly stated that after MARZ, they didn't want to continue the franchise anymore, but years later, they tried with Index and that right there was the reason SEGA wanted to stop.
