For me Secret Garden palette from Bella Beaute Bar was a nightmare I never in my life I think I would purchase at this indie brand Now I am thinking to get the ER tea party and the newest underland palette but after see your video I think I won’t Would you do a video of the new ER underland palette? I think it has beautiful multi chrome shadows but I’m afraid they will crease specially if I have mature lids

When I do this, I'm pretty aggressive when I push down, so I can really squish that oil out! If you want to take the shadow out of the pan and press out the oil, you can always use a little rubbing alcohol to help press it back in neatly. Unless you accidentally drop the shadow or something, the risk is pretty minimal.

Curious what eye shadow primer you’ve tried, and if those make any diff? I know you’ve said glitter glue isn’t helpful lol. I haven’t tried tons of primers, but I imagine some work better than others
@@the_makeup_tax_lady I have to be careful because most eye primers dry my lids out but now that I think about it, maybe that would help 🤣 except it makes the mattes look horrible. I’m currently using Urban Decay anti aging primer but maybe I should play around with primers 🤔 thank you ❤️
@@EyeshadowEnthusiast I’m currently using About Face, which I’ve heard is similar to Hourglass. It’s a thinner silicone primer. It’s also similar to a Sephora primer I used. Maybe similar to UD? Can’t hurt to change it up just to try!

Hi! Love the video thank you! So I'm trying to figure out- do you know if this formula is like the Adept Minka formula? I love that palette but they're so thick and oily if that makes sense.
@@BeresLookingGlass I have the Minka palette and I dislike it immensely! It is a very close formula and this new formula I’m having trouble with is actually dry and not thick/squishy. I will be doing more videos on this also. I hope that helps ❤️

@@BeresLookingGlass I love Ensley Reign, the mattes are good and the shimmers/multichromes are exquisite! I would just beware if you have hooded eyes, depending on how hooded, to expect creasing, more with certain formulas.

Im sorry it didn’t work for you 😢 I recommend trying laying the tissue down flat and then pushing down onto the top of it down into the shadow instead of poking the tissue around. This way you press out the binder evenly. I was really pushing down hard 😂 and I did it until i could tell the shadow felt different to the touch

If you ever press the oils out of a sticky shadow again, can you reserve half of it (just press out 1 side) so you can wear test the original formula on 1 eye and the pressed formula on the other eye? That way you can see if there actually is any wear time difference when you press out the oil.

@EyeshadowEnthusiast no, sorry....I meant to lay a paper towel on top of the shadow, and press down with a spoon...it's kinda hard to explain in a msg, but if u want I could always IG you, and show u like a small video of what I mean....I do it when I fix a busted shadow, with alcohol, and it barely picks up any product.

Omg, thank you. This is such an important video. These indie shadows are pretty expensive, not just the cost of the palette but the shipping and customs and taxes for those of us who aren't in the US. To top that off, there are no returns on these indie palettes, it's not like a Huda palette that we can exchange at Sephora if it doesn't work on our lids. And we are buying these for the multichrome shimmers not so much the mattes (even though they can be nice, there are lots of reasonably priced, easily accessible mattes that are more cost effective). We hooded eyes girls already have a tiny space to showcase these multichromes, if they're creasing, the effect is completely lost. It's a big loss for us. I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel. You review alot of these beautiful but pricey multichrome indie palettes and you have true hooded eyes. Everyone else just raves about these multichromes without really getting into whether they crease for us hooded eyes girls. They might casually mention that we should use a glitter glue if we have hooded eyes, but they can still crease using a glitter glue as you've shown us. Thank you for doing this! I was going to pull the trigger on the ER Cold Moon palette and the Bella Secret Garden pallette...so glad I found your channel before I did!! I hope you continue to let us know the creasing situation on all the palettes you review in the future. It's really still an untapped sector among influencers. You can watch hundreds of multichrome reviews and would be lucky to find 1 influencer that will update and admit if the formula creases as you did. ❤

@@EdenBaynes i didn’t pick Longing up, the newest one I have is a machina and I used a Ensley Reign single with it when I tried it but I’ll use it soon and let you know 😉

@@EdenBaynes the only brand I’ve ever tried with absolutely no creasing is Sydney Grace. I don’t know what they do to their shadows but they’re incredible. I’ve tried one of their multichromes, blood moon, and that didn’t crease on me. I was shocked and I definitely need to try more of their multichromes.
These oily shades are a menace! I just can't believe they couldn't formulate them without so much oil. What I find helpful is to fold up a paper towel and press out the excess oil. Badtothebrow made a video about it, and it helped me make those shadows wearable.

@@EyeshadowEnthusiastThere's alot of us. Unfortunately we end up buying before figuring out they crease badly because most influences don't want to critcise and risk losing affiliate opportunities. Multichromes are especially notorious for creasing due to the increased oils in the ingredients.
@@oh_k8 I agree. I just watched Brittany Rae review the new Gourmande Girls palette and she was the only honest review. If she was having trouble then I know others were too. I’ve officially decided anytime I review a new palette, I will include wear test in my videos.
@@EyeshadowEnthusiastI watched Ensley Reign videos all day from morning to evening because I had a pretty large cart at Ensley Reign that I was ready to pull the trigger on, when I stumbled on your Reformulated Flower Moon video. Yours was the only video where thoughts were added to the video about how they wear after applying the makeup. Everybody else just swatched, applied, raved and ended the video. So glad you will be wear testing all your multichromes from now on. It's much needed information in this space!❤
Multichromes are pretty notorious with creasing.

@@oh_k8 this and Twisted Tea Party are my top two faves from ER. I’m going to make a video, I’ll try to get it up asap, and I’ll go through each palette I own and go through the ones that are the thicker smooshy formula.
@@EyeshadowEnthusiastI have been eyeing this one and cold moon but multichromes can be risky for hooded eyes. Certain brads, certain colors and certain formulas under the same brand can have different results. I look forward to see how these palettes rank as far as lasting power. Thanks!
@@oh_k8 I just filmed a quick, unedited video going through all my ER palettes and showing which ones have the thicker formula and which ones crease badly on me. They may not crease badly on you, it could just be me but the video is up if you want check it out 💕
Does this palette crease on you also??
Harvest Moon was the first palette I got from ER and those shimmers tend to lighten out, they’re not really thick like these newer reformulated shimmers. Strawberry moon does have a couple of the more thicker smooshy formula.

@@oh_k8 for me personally, all shimmers and multichromes crease on me but it’s not usually bad. The more smooshy textured multichromes, from all brands, are the ones that have really been disappointing me. I hope this helped 💕

Mel Thompson made me buy that palette, too!!!!!!!!!! And I think I bought it the same way as you, I stalked the Nars site and snagged it when it came out in a final offering 😅🎉 It’s really not much to look at but it just works and has a formula that performs well.

I just saw Not Normal Remastered on the site the other day! I dig that color story…have yet to try their eyeshadows. If Not Normal wasn’t a preorder, I’d be much more intrigued lol
