I didn't even know you could right click to cut trees

I feel like if you use the insurgent mod you should push yourself to the limit, so I’ve taken it upon myself to take over the prison, currently just clearing the inside out now for the most part it’s stragglers and window hordes, but I lost one insurgent in the fight lol.

Thats why I use guns. When I ring the bell the day of reckoning has begun.

Hello, late to the party. I've had the game for a while but finally decided to start the learning process and I hate my life. Lmao. Ripped on day 16 after countless attempts while trying to avoid Google as much as possible. The one major problem is actually getting a run going. Every corner you turn there is mini hordes all over the place. It is a nightmare at times. I think the game strongly needs some sort of "grace period" option for those starting out. As it is right now without manually tweaking a bunch of settings I think it's just to much. I've actually had a couple spawns where I load in and there is zombies in the house with me so I immediately die. My record on that is 37 seconds in game time (I have instant zombification, saves me time waiting to kick the bucket) Overall the game is great albeit slightly demoralising at times but if there was no way to tweak things I'd have probably dropped it. Will probably give these settings a go after my next rip. Thanks!

We really need to put '0' to the 3 respawn option to stop respawning? I just create a game with the first one '0' (respawn hours). I thought it was a 'main' option that totally desactivate the respawn..

Ehhh, I love the vid, but I have some disagreements. Not many, though. I would: 1. Take short-sighted and un-take clusmy for an even point trade. Short-sighted is basically free points with eye glasses and nbd even without. I'm not a big fan of any added chance to fall (yes, I know, you can NOT sprint hop fences, but still). 2. Remove Keen hearing. It's nice, but nothing awareness and general player skill cannot easily compensate for. We now have 6 points to play with. 3. Add outdoorsman. The weather resistance and tree slash resistance is very nice for only 2 points. 4 ahead still. 4. Take underweight. Extremely solvable in the early game by shoveling ice cream. The -1 fitness is covered by Fire officer, so that you still have 9 which is the critical milestone. 10's nice, but 9 is perfectly fine. 10 points ahead. 5. Take fast learner. This is an absolute catch-all must-take trait. God-tier in every way and I would never make a build without it. 4 points ahead. 6. Swap out baseball player for brawler. 2 points ahead. Dealer's choice from here: Pick up speed demon or wakeful. I usually slot "Handy" in my builds because of how goated maintenance is, but using what you built as a framework (which I largely like), above is what I'd do.

When you have 20 boxes of shotgun shells in your inventory it doesn't matter who hears it.

I always use the Advanced Trajectory Realistic Overhaul mod, it buffs low skill shooting and nerfs shotguns, also realistically if you shoot into a horde you'll hit SOMETHING, and PZ does not have physical projectiles so it's not possible, i feel like it just makes the gunplay exactly what it should be.

Great explanations of all the functions. Been playing Zomboid for a week and legit couldn't last longer than 1 day ingame. Many of the houses I spawned in had no weapons and as soon as i went outside i got swarmed even when sneaking

Died on a Burgler build and decided to try this, before lowering the diffulty settings. Man, what a change it is. I can now handle a group of 5 zombies with ease, instead of having to sneak around and kite 1-2 zombies in bigger groups every time. Thanks man!

good traits I also go for underweight, you can eliminate this trait in a few days eating a ton of food, and it gives you 6 points

i hope we get infinite erosion like trees bushes and vines growing infinitely also hope that the roads and houses and buildings degrade like in the last of us

Is it bad that I fast forward every time I transfer items to and from my inventory? I can't stand the wait time when transferring a bunch of items over to my larger pack! I noticed you weren't really doing this and now I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't be?

You get *HALF* as much XP if you fast forward time while watching TV! You're much better off not fast forwarding unless you're in a hurry for some reason! I'm honestly shocked at how many people don't know this! I only have about 90 hours on Project Zomboid so far and I found that one out pretty quickly! You can get a full level just by watching the 6:00am "LIFE & LIVING" channel if you don't fast forward. You only got half that though because you're a silly goose!

is this still a good build now?

It only shows up when the zombie is in range. But you can start swinging just before they come into range and still hit. So putting this in can make you pick up bad habits for fighting zombies it’s better to learn your ranges than rely on the outline

How about during winter? What happens to the roof barrels then?

How do you get up there

I usually play insane population in Westpoint and Louisville so stamina management is always a priority. Due to this I favour hammer as my prime weapon because they are light (only 1 weight), barely drain stamina and you can carry one in each hand and two on a belt (with a metal pipe as a back-up). I have always used 'sit on ground' for combat rest but at the weight of 0.26 for a piano stool (in a military backpack) you have just supercharged my killing speed, Thank you.
