I'm about to start a Lego city.Would you recommend to only use 32 by 32 baseplates. I asked because I was considering using only 48 by 48. Or is it a case of use one and not mix two would you say .

Thank you for your important advice. As a grandmother on limited budget I still can manage enjoy this very satisfying hobby with a budget. I do supplement my city with other than Lego builds. I do find Webrick a reasonable choice. My purpose for commenting is to add another piece of advice. Don’t be in a hurry to finish. I limit myself to no more than 2 hours a day. Finishing a 1500 to 3000 piece build doesn’t need 3 hours like the full time creators with deep pockets. The rest of us hobbyists can take time to enjoy the process. Love your channel and wish you much success. Ps I too watch Bricksie to admire his Lego career.

It's easy to get caught up in the hobby, constantly buying sets, and FOMO is hard to deal with. I like the idea of setting a budget, and keeping a separate savings for the hobby. I have become better at accepting that I can't get every (or most) set(s) from every theme I enjoy, and being appreciative of the sets I do have

I can see how it can be too overpriced for some big time for parents if the kids are new to Lego, for you don't know if the kid will truly enjoy it. I do have to say you deserve all the happiness.

You'll want space to walk/move around. It gets frustrating if you can't move freely around the room. If the lego city has to be smaller, then so be it. The city can be smalller and thats okay.

Good job! Been responsible about how much we spend on Lego is the hardest!

I love all the ideas you have. Don't stress too much it is all coming together, amazingly. I can see the vision coming together. Pick a brick really needs to get it together, tho.

I like how the (rumored) GWP is Borgin & Burkes since that's where he ends up after saying Diagonally instead of Diagon Alley. I feel like that for me makes the price better since it gets 2-in-1 of sorts.
