one of my washer arms are loose under that panel, and I removed the nuts, and yeah corroded here aswell. gotta get a pull up tool like you have.. any idea what type of product can do that arm removal ?

Did you sell the panels in the end?

Not a good practice to replace the pads but not replace, or, at least resurface the rotors if they meet the min thickness.

Hello, Do you know how to check the good connexion of the 2 plugs visible at 2:21? Can they be inverted or the connexions plugs do not allow this? Due to the poor visibility when mounting the EME without removing the motor from the i3, I have a doubt of inversion of these cables. But on this video, it looks like whe cannot invert them (not the same connexion). Thanks a lot

Thank you. Dog chewed seatbelt in half. Because of your instructional video i was able to remove the belt unit so i can send out for repair. The BMW dealer wants $1K to replace it 😕

Any chance you know where the drivers side ‘b pillar’ crash/airbag sensor is? Looked behind rear drivers door card and no luck, hopefully you’ve seen it before?

Replace it with a LED plug and play h7, They last long because it’s LED And it just looks better

You seem like you know a lot about what's going on with these cars. Do you think there would be any way to mod the car so the Rex will actually fully charge the battery? Or somewhere you could tap in an external generator to charge more while driving? Just for the rare occasion I need to take a long highway trip to somewhere with no charging infrastructure.

Trying not to be mean, the other videos of showing mini/ev work are good and interesting. I know its called loosing the plot, but you dont seem very enthusiastic about it or sharing much in terms of future plans. I know its wet and muddy so its hard. Probably just put the videos on hold for a bit and see if you build up some interesting material, if you do then launch it on a different channel showing the building work etc

I am not a great believer in H&S, as it caused a great deal of annoyance at work, but with that flimsy jack on a gravel hardstanding, I'd have some safety in place to prevent it from trapping that leg if it came off the jack or even the jack collapsing. Just a thought. Best Dave

Hello, was it hard to remove (and would it be hard to replace) the bonnet itself? Also the exterior A-pillar trim, easy enough to replace? I have an i3 with a bonnet that isn't in great shape in some ways and I think it'd be easier to just swap it than get paint done.

If the Eme needs to be replaced in your car then you looking at a sum of around 15.000£…

I have done the charge port lock actuator replacement on an American version i3 charge port. It was not necessary to remove the quarter panel or jack up the car or remove the wheel. A 1 hour job that required a special pentalobe bit.

Have you still got any i3 parts from the rear end?

What are you doing with the rex engine and generator? I was looking for one of those... Nice idea on converting a mini, i started a conversion years ago using an outlander motor but I never got the project moving.

It's 1 pedal car, means the brake pedal is only for emergency stops, looking at your pads and rotors condition... you need to learn how to drive the i3 without the brake pedal.
