Oh yeah fighters did just fine on old Origins as well so I'm not too worried about that, but I do believe mages will still be the meta because of the size of mass-PvP on these servers the AoE mages provide is very strong. And the server will end on Interlude, which is quite mage-favored. But C4 and C5 especially will be fantastic for fighters ^^

Do/will they still have that extremely annoying letter clicking check which can send you to jail because you were busy pvping and didn't click the letters? Do/will they still hand out chat bans because of trashtalk after destroying disabled trashcans who can't even press a couple of buttons even if their life depended on it?

I don't know which particular botchecks we'll get, I assume whatever is on Origins right now. As for chatbans, well the discord has profanity filters on it now. But I've always heard there's a player-run flaming discord, you could make that your home for that type of content :)

Amazing video honestly, brought back memories! i play a bit on l2 reborn x30. prob its a stupid question but i wanted to now if on signature server we gonna have buffs like on x30 or its going to be 100% hardcore XD. Thanks in advance <3
The only buffs you'll get beyond level 20 are from players or a Clan Hall manager :)

m.crit rate shouldnt be nerfed at all. One important thing you missed is Pre interlude chronicle is archers were hitting way harder crits due to UNNERFED dance of fire (100% crt. dmg -> 50% crt dmg) and death whisper(50% crt.dmg -> 35% crt.dmg) which as you can see, combined is a big deal.
Fire was also 50>35%, it never was anywhere close to 100. Basically C5 without catbuff is IL with catbuff, it's nowhere near on the same level :D
@@Ascend3r Hmm you might be right actually. My brain tells me 100->50% on dance but i cannot find official infos and old posts on forums suggest it was 50->35% indeed.
I think majestic is better for SR also what dyes you use ?
for open siege draco is way better than mj better stats overall, stun resist is not that necessary
Can feel your hype for it that's nice, the only reason I probably wont play is the Admin. In my opinion they lack of vision for the project. They got more greedy every year. The decision they are taking are questionable and frenquently bad. The RMT is verry present and at every level of the game. Maybe nostalgia will be stronger but I dont think so. Anyway have fun the comunity is everything this game has left.
Does the chronicle 4 have the free newbie tokens to travel between the starting villages and the free top no grade weapon (the one you need 0 PKs to equip)?
The teleport is a definite no, that was a later addition. The weapon... was an event on old retail, so we don't know if we'll get that or not. Most servers (at least that I know of) seem to have treated it as a game feature, but it's far from certain if we'll get it or not.
How about the npc buffs you get until lvl 23. Do they exist in C4? I am sorry to bother you, but it is not easy to find information for those things and it seems you know a lot about this game

What a great video! As somebody who played around 2008 and understood little to nothing about the game, but it is some of favorite memories/time in video games/mmos, this video helps a lot. You explaining what is different in each update and why that is good/bad is awesome. Currently playing on Reborn Origins, essentially learning about the game again. :) Thanks for the effort you've put into the video!

Not sure, it is likely that we will but it's not certain. Technically on old retail this was started as an event during C4, and every private server I know simply went on to copy it as a standard feature.
I would also be interested in more C4 content. There isn't that much of C4 on youtube. It's mostly H5
man I really want to play C4 again but the damn reborn anti cheat prevents me. keeps giving me an error that seems to have no solution so it's really annoying

The problem with that idea is that I only have a very solid idea how to level my specific class. When it comes to levelling for example a Warcryer or Gladiator or Shillien Elder... I would have to go with guesswork. I think only two things are universally true: AoE is king, and since the Destro is king of that leeching a (competent) Destro is the fastest way to level for 90% of people, but also out of reach for most people since this game isn't known for charity ^^

Well they do have an x10 interlude server if you can stomach the custom features it has ^^
@@Ascend3r Nah I can't. I just wanted the vanilla game with a bit more rates, 1x is too insane and too sweaty... NPC Buffer / Mana pots is horrible it makes Lineage 2 boring. I would like to just be able to play few hours every 2 days or so and still feel some meaningful progress, which is impossible in x1. They could implement a "rested system" where you get f.e. x5 EXP for only 2h/day per IP on 1 char and requires you to be offline in town to recover the x5 EXP bonus for over 15 hours or so.
Could you maybe do some guides once it comes out? Like just progression, xp etc. I played this game when I was a kid and dont remember much. Stumbled upon your video by accident and you made me want to try it out again but there's like no guides or anything.
I played a bit on Reborn Origins at the beginning of the year. I got to know some ppl and started a BP because they had demand for it and I rly only wanted to play in a clan from the beginning (anit-solo player :D) But the attitude was rly wierd. clanchat ghosted me as a useless newbie and I got only pulled by my lead. CP later on failed because it was scheduled like work and I couldnt be online 4-6h a day. Therefore I never did the 3rd prof and quit.
Yeah coming into a server late, especially in these chronicles, sounds like a really rough deal. I started midway in Interlude and I always felt behind because I didn't have epics or really OE gear, can't imagine when you have to add in attributes, OE skills, Dynasty/Vesper etc xD

Nice video, great to see more ppl being so nostalgic and having this pure love about the game. Reborn was/is indeed one of the best and cleanest servers ever made, it gave us all the chance to re-live the "Golden era" of this game. Hope the best for Signature, I don't know if I have the time to play there but I'm definately a Reborn supporter no matter what. Well made video ;)

I'm very excited for the new server! Only having an issue which is I love playing Bishop in PVP but I've never rolled one in a x1 server and I'm scared that the grind might discourage me especially since I'm going into it with no CP or clan
Yeah that will be a very difficult path, you won't have Turn Undead either until C5 so solo'ing is... not going to be very viable ^^ Gotta find parties to take you in to not take eons

Elmorelab player here. Started the first week of c4 and still playing. Personal POV on chronicles. C4= SPS/Necro chronicle. Sleep 24/7. No holy/unholy resistance makes them powerhouses. SPS has broken cancel, and Necro its tankier/hits like a truck/sleep-silence-anchor. Lack of summon friend makes every raid a mage pt raid, great for pvp and pts. Aside from archer and destro, all melee classes suck. ALL OF EM. Rough chronicle to be healer. EE's selfrecharge, so MP balance its decent at 78. Buffslots cap at 20, and debuff count as buffs (This has more implications than you can imagine). Chances to drop on dead, yikes, have terrible memories cause of that. C5= SPS/Archer/Destro Chronicle. Sleep nerf. Divine resistances hits necro the hardest, but still viable. Cancel gets nerfed but sps still at the top. Summon Friend/Zealot make destro the default RB farmers. Daggers finally become viable. Great time to be EE, golden era of endless mana. 24 buffslots and debuffs dont count as buffs anymore (This has more implications than you can imagine). IL=Removal of selfrecharge ends the EE's reign of infinite mana. MP management actually becomes a thing. Aura flash arrives, sadge. LS have not been implemented yet, so cant comment on that. Very interested on the upcoming signature project. Hopefully it'll become the one sv to rule em all. :)
I started playing on a C1 private server, moved to retail servers in USA and came back to the game in EU 4game retail for Goddess of Destruction. Nowadays my characters are still there but i can't be bothered with all the cashshop items and everything i missed. So i might join in november, i miss playing my Elven Elder.

Hey, First of all I want to congratulate you on the recent videos. You are incredible story teller, and I like every single minute of it. Also really appreciate that you speak English. Most of the community now a days speak mainly Russian, which I don't understand very much :D. As you said in the previous video, with each update the game before more grindy with more and more vertical progressions. That is one of the reasons I stopped playing it as well. I am looking forward to start playing the game again on L2 Reborn Signature (C4) and for that reason I start inform myself about that What it was the game back then. Can you make more content about that was the game back then. 1. Leveling Process. - Which class was easy and hard to level. ( Tanks, Buffers, Rogues, Archers, Mages) 2. Quests - Interesting Quests that are worth doing while leveling at Low Rate server. 3. Economy - Adena, AA, Items, (Early, Mid, Late Game). 4. Player Grouping - Raid Bossing at low levels for example. 5. Political Wars - Interesting stories about Clan Wars, etc. These are some of the topics that I am most interested about, but for you of course is not the same and you might not be interested. Anyway, keep creating such videos. :D
