Welcome to the Ashtanga Dispatch channel with Peg Mulqueen & Meghan Powell!
Becoming Unstuck
In Verse 39 of the Yoga Sūtra, Chapter 3, it says, "From a mastery of udāna (upward-moving energy), we won't become stuck in the mud and the thorns."
But also, it's from that same uplifting energy that we become unstuck as well. It's very much like how you would get your car out of mud or snow.

Ashtanga Dispatch Podcast clip with Prasad Rangnekar
มุมมอง 772 ปีที่แล้ว
The role of the yoga teacher does seem to be changing these days. They are now life coaches, therapists, nutritionists, fitness experts, podcast hosts (😜) etc. - Or at least, that’s what it feels like we must be in order to keep up with the changing landscape. In any case, I asked Prasad Rangnekar what he would say to yoga teachers who might be questioning their relevancy and role, or maybe eve...

Strong and balanced women! Yay!
Such a great discussion. The number of people who signed on to participate in the discussion indicates this topic resonates with many. I did notice that the majority of participants were women, how many men are also discovering that as they age, their practice has to change, are they talking about this with other men who practice yoga and Ashtanga yoga in particular??
4:04 is that the Yoga Police sounding their sirens when Eddie says you don't have to practice six days a week? 😅
Thank you for sharing

🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽thank you! Insightful, honest, inspiring, helpful!
Incredibly honest. It’s surprising and refreshing to hear this from such an experienced practitioner. I think after decades of practice we should be able to trust our intuition to tell us what is needed when we step on the mat. Thanks for all you’ve done for the understanding of yoga.
These insights take time and maturity. Happy to hear this wisdom!
4.50 pm 12 Oct That was a really honest self appraisal of where you’re at Eddie. Always refreshing and encouraging to hear that even the best of teachers can get it wrong and admit it, explaining your thought out reasons for changing tack
Thank you!
Thank you!

cool video...she's not given enough praise in the western world sometimes...many thanks from Canada
Thank you for posting this! I practiced with Saraswathi a couple of years ago, and I miss her spark. I think it took coming home and reflecting on that month with her to really appreciate her way, and seeing videos of Guruji really affirms what you say about their similar ways!
She's amazing and her face shines !
