Wild Garlic and Stinging Nettle Soup cooked over a campfire in the woods.
มุมมอง 1K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is my favourite recipe for Wild Garlic (Alium ursinum) and Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) soup. I made it in the woods but it tastes just as good if you make it in your own kitchen at home. The use of a hand blender isn't really bushcraft, but the Bluetti EB55 works really well as an off grid power source while you're away from civilisation. The knife is a Lars Falt Bushcraft by Casstrom ...

Bow Drill Friction Fire Lighting
มุมมอง 5664 ปีที่แล้ว
When it comes to improvised fire lighting techniques the bow drill friction method stands out as one of the most effective methods that we could use in a true life or death survival situation. It can take a while to master the basics and develop the muscle memory, but like riding a bicycle, once you've perfected the technique it will become a part of you. Giving you the freedom and confidence t...
Using a Hultafors Åby Forest Axe for Felling, Limbing and processing Firewood.
มุมมอง 16K4 ปีที่แล้ว
An Axe can be your become your best friend when it comes to Wilderness Survival. With a well maintained Axe you can fell trees and split firewood as well as performing just about any other task that you would otherwise use a knife for. The Åby Forest Axe is a fantastic general purpose tool for woodcraft and wilderness camping and in this video Andrew Thomas Price will show you how he uses his a...
How I "SAFELY" use a knife for Bushcraft and Survival.
มุมมอง 7624 ปีที่แล้ว
The Bushcraft Knife is one of the most versatile tools for survival. It can be used to perform tasks as diverse as butchering game and preparing a meal, to whittling a canoe paddle. But without practical training and the knowledge of how to use a knife safely, it can become more of a liability than an asset. This video has been made in conjunction with Bushcraft and Survival Skills Magazine, to...
That aint no predator just good ol woody wood pecker
On point. I wouldnt squeeze anything more. I love such vid oriented commentary instead of just blah blah.
Still one of the best Fallkniven commercials on internet ;D
All good advice and Hultafors make great axe. Maybe you could have chosen some low tempo music made me feel like I was overdosed on caffeine.
We look out, not to mix wild garlic with lilly of the valley(that is poisiounus). I also like to add mirror egg or boiled egg onto these, like i toss it onto spinach.
Austin showed me how to use an axe 🪓 in Canley, Coventry, about 45yrs ago. Now I have my own. Great axe, good 👍 technique and video.
Did you bring your will Adam’s knife?
Not on this trip... I had a Casstrom UK legal folder with me. Travelling light ;-)
@@andrewprice4439 I hope you’ll show that old knife again once more I really like wills work. A shame he doesn’t make any knives anymore
Ha! Well done Andrew, bit different from teaching us oldies about edibles in Clyne! You be careful of those bears... I know they are fine usually .. hopefully
Awesome enjoy buddy
Nature sound❤❤
How you liking the Lars falt knife Andrew, I’ve just bought one at the show Saturday

i,m eating wild garlic most days , love it
I LOVE wild garlic and the aroma you get when you're approaching a field with them in.
Awesome! Lovely to the Hudson Bay Tinderbox still being used. Thank you for the mention Andrew 🙏
Fantastic and definitely my two favourite spring easy picks , great video Andrew
I love those bowls
😀 Great video. Little chef tip for you.., if you don’t have a battery pack and blender, you can pass the food through a Sieve or Chinois using the back of your ladle or other spoon, works a treat. Off to pick some now 😉👍🏼
Fantastic video Andrew. We had this last year while on your gourmet foraging day with bannock bread. Absolutely devine
Hi Andrew, nice to see you back on YT bud, another plant that could be misidentified, although not prolific in nature, is Lilly of the Valley which has similar leaf but is poisonous, but I'm sure you know this anyway. All the best to you. Paul.
Fantastic to see you back on the screen Andrew. You should do a forager's lunch with tales and info!!! Bit of good rough bread and butter with that soup would be great... superb natural colours to it. thank you for taking the time to record. Would a bit of roasted rabbit go with that stunning soup?
Nice video Andrew please do more!on Utube very good
What a non-sense picture!
What part of "it's a first test firing of a new stainless steel stove" don't you understand?
@@andrewprice4439 one can put fire in any ‘tin’, but it does not show how it functions as a stove.
So do you like it or not?
Yes... It's the most efficient stove of it's type I've ever tried. Excellent attention to detail, and being stainless steel it should last a very long time.
Good to see you back Andrew, about time ;)
Great video Andrew! Looks a good axe! Can you do a video on your belt kit?
Cool

More details please
Nerozumiem ti, mas strasne rychlu kadenciu slov.... ale je fajn, ze konecne niekto tu A1 - ku predstavil. Za mna super!
Are you Andrew price from A to Z bushcraft?!?
That was so dangerous. He made no allowance for, was not prepared for a possible "barber chair" of that straight-grained tree. People have been killed because of that oversight.
Can you elaborate what this is please? I've never heard this before
That was an awesome explanation
One of the greatest multi-purpose things to pack in a shtf bag.
A good safe way for kindling
👍👍👍
This guy had a great channel then just disappeared two years ago. I hope he's safe and sound. God be with him.
Can you post a link to your bushcraft knife or a good one
Brilliant video 👍
that many uses great i will keep a jar like that on my BatMan Belt,
Excellent control of the cutting edge Andrew. Hope you get time to do more vid content once things calm down again. An honour to learn a bit off you today too.
One of my favorite knives. Got mine direct from Fallkniven when they were first released. Love your take on it. Very professional and detailed. Any more vids planned?
Talking to Andrew today. He's been extremely busy during the pandemic he tells me. It seems everyone is up for getting out, even during winter! But, he did say he'll do his best to try to do some more vids.
Seems like a good all round axe. But need to be careful to not hit your self with this. 👍👍👍
Nice video! Thank you! 👍
That's not close to being a kydex sheath. It's molded plastic and nothing more.
Thank you so much, man :) I’ve made an order with your link and… it came with a discount. I have even double checked it - somehow I have managed to order a black (carbon tungsten covered) version for the price of a standard one :)
Just got the Aby, very impressed, definitely a premium quality item. Head shape perfect, shaving sharp mirror polished edge and perfect wood grain alignment on haft.
hi i was wondering if you could tell me a little about the axe after 2 years and if the axe still is any good after 2 years of using it if you still have it
Yes.... Update please
The amount of ' experts ' that don't know the difference between zytel and kydex is really disappointing
I think you'll have to have a look at your sound and vision synchronisation Andrew. It's a bit 'out' unfortunately, but a good video nevertheless.
