Can I get it for pet rats?

Rentokil is a horrible company that uses glue traps and poisons. They are full of bobkes and are leaving out the obvious fact that rodents have lots of natural predators.

Thank you for switching from that horrible useless fumigation “Rat rub out” program to a humane contraception!

I should have mentioned I am Canadian and saw the bear bins in my old neighbourhood in Scarborough near Rouge National Park.

Montreal Lionel Groulx Metro uses lure feeding, a humane coexistence technique of feeding animals healthy non toxic food in a place one doesn’t mind them, to keep them out of unwanted places. Rat contraception food would be great in a lure feeding program.

Use bear proof bins. Plastic bins are useless. A bear bin like Tuff Box, or the parallelogram shaped bear bins, work. They also keep out rats.

So it is species specific?

Your 500,000 breeding population forecast is a theoretical maximum. In the real world rodent populations equilibrate with food supply, environment, and predation. Evolve is expensive. Y'all could probably sell more of it if you lowered the price.

Does this work for mice too?

Hoping this becomes legal for use in Connecticut.

It’s guaranteed that a predator or bird of prey (owls, eagles, hawks, chickens, etc. will ingest some of these rats and rodents that still have the birth control in their stomach (not deactivated by their liver). So how will this affect all those critters that feed on these rodents? Why are you so vague and guarded about that information? How toxic is this to all those animals that consume rodents? How do their bodies process this rodent birth control? If the rodents are eating it on a regular basis, they are going to have it in their stomach when consumed. How well does this stuff work on mice? How come you don’t mention anything about mice? You briefly mention that other small animals might be affected, but are extremely vague… purposely vague? What are hiding? Are we talking liver damage, cognitive damage, blindness, what? I smell a rat and it’s the human kind, and I’m looking at you.

What if I eat it?

I can't wait for this to finally become legal to purchase in Connecticut. It is the perfect humane solution for those who seek to bring down the rat populations while at the same time not inflicting a cruel end to the rats life, which in turn is often very harmful to the wildlife which prey upon them.

This is brilliant. Finally, an intelligent way to control ray populations.

Interesting. I'm curious how this effects the predators that would consume the rats. But this seems like a very good solution.

Does this work for humans?

Can you direct me to a published paper that details how this works? I would love to share it with my Introductory Biology class

Would it affect the animals that eat the rats?

Truly works! We relocated all the wee ones born before we had this product to a safe environment deep in woods with a lake. They are thriving at lake..saw kne the other day at a release. No new wee ones seen….just 5 older ones not caught yet with our trigger hand held trap by tomahawke. In fact the ones remaining seem docile and only come out to eat same time every night until I catch them. Yes I do have them on a schedule to eat while they are waiting for their trip lol I’m thinking no sex drive = just sleeping and eating . Best accidental product ever found in researching something else. Especially for those of us that don’t want to kill anything.🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀

Fantastic Product!

Good idea to create birth control for rats. However, as far as diseases go, humans carry more diseases that other humans can catch than rats do. :) Humans are dirty little disease carriers.

What about opossums? they are a marsupial too. New Zealand needs this contraceptive as millions is spent trapping and inhumanely poisoning them
