How do you like running the 3Rs on track days? I’ve been researching for days now which track tires to pick up that will put up with this desert heat. I was recommended the 3Rs since they can tolerate heat for a good amount of cycles.

Nice laps! So that double warning chime at ~3:06 and elsewhere in the video: Is that a low pressure warning as suggested below? I hear that sometimes on my 720S with no corresponding warning lights or indications and never know what it is trying to tell me and have just been accepting it as Mclaren randomness....

Why did it go into limp mode? Trans temp? Accumulators? What year is it?

Did you ever find out what caused the car to go in limp mode at Laguna Seca? I'm thinking of getting one but the mandatory pre track inspection and post track inspection is annoying. Might buy one and say "screw the warranty" and make it a track beast with a tune and catless exhaust. YOLO....

Nice lap! And it was late in the day, good for power but probably a bit low for optimum track temps. I heard the low tire pressure warning several times lol. This is a very tough car to crest T1 at full throttle, though, isn't it? Not enough downforce for all that power.

Great lap. Neck and neck with my AMG GTR. Pb is 1:32.4. Ran a 1:32.9 yesterday. CRS is great tire. I tried and hated the 3R. Like ice skates first lap. Not great second. Then faster than CRS or AR1 by a second. Day two max grip is equal to 2 day CRS. Day three one second slower than CRS. Personally I like having grip quickly. Outlap can be dangerous for non pro with 3R. IMO. Start finish before bridge 600 is 125 mph. 720 can hit 140 there ? I’m at 136 at top of T1. I only hit 140 but clearly can go faster if o trust my brakes enough. Maybe hit 145 mph.

Nice driving. I was in the Silver GTR following my buddy in his Pro. Looks like you were gaining about second every lap on us. Were were running mid 35s and one 1:34.8. I was having fun following my friend who knocked a second off his PB in 600LT. FYI I was running 32s solo earlier in the day.

Patience is a skill that is hard to train to most drivers. You clearly have the faster car..so why not just be patient and wait for a better opportunity to overtake.

Unlike most of the comments, I'd argue that the Corvette may have most of the blame here. If he gave a point-by, why did he make it hard for the McLaren to pass him? While sure, I get that the McLaren was relatively far away, these are cars that can catch up to each other fairly quickly. He should've done what they do at the 'Ring and let him pass, unless this is a proper race.

In this case it would have been roughly a 80/20 fault against the 720s. You received a point from the Corvette yes but its still your responsibility to ensure the safe spacing of your own car. For example, if someone waves at me to cross an intersection and I end up T-Boning someone as a result the insurance company will blame ME for the incident as I should not be relying on someone else to confirm the current road conditions
