I always loved this tune and now after doing this I appreciate just how nuanced and well-crafted it is as a piece of music. Really cool to see how it ebbs and flows. I plan on doing some more Zappa arrangements for this instrumentation. Shout out some requests...
Very nice. I love reading Zappa’s music, it is never boring.
Nice job. Thanks
I request Greggery Peccary! :D (happy to help!)
@@mirthkon Ooh man that's a tough one, maybe I could transcribe some parts of it. I know there's a score out there for it somewhere.
Amazing effort, here! Would you be willing to share the midi and/or Sibelius file for this? I'd love to have a go at it with my virtual instrument library (rocking teenage combo 2.0)!
@@mirthkon Sure! send me a message on Instagram @pavlicmusic
Those two undectuplets at the end-easy peasy. 😂
@@DavidGolden99 Yeah no sweat lol
Thanks for posting !! The 20th century saw a lot of STUFF ~~~ Horrific wars and SERIOUSLY *toxic* shit that could trace its roots back over centuries (if not millenia) of human "culture." But then, occasional sparks of clarity that *could* point to ~~~ a place for us here, still, in 500 or 1000 or 5000 years. Sun Ra, Frank Zappa, many others, I hope their soaring weirdness somehow is still honored in a future where those melodies are still enjoyed and are -- what -- better-understood, more normal ? G'night, all ....
This is a fantastic piece of work. Yours ,I mean. Frank's is obviously fantastic. Thanks for taking the trouble. I enjoyed every second.

Wow, the orchestration is objectively so bad
Thanks Monteverdi
@@derekpavlic Made me rise from the grave, jeez. You did a good transcription however.
@@claudiomonteverdi7126 Thank you Maestro ❤️ you're a gentleman and a scholar
I've always loved this piece.
Me too
Nice!
Maybe the prettiest thing FZ wrote
you're a legend dude
Very nice of you ❤️
beautiful phrasing and dynamics in your playing!
Thanks! but that was Ruth Underwood playing, not me
@@derekpavlic Brava Ruth!
Sau-stark!
I love Ruth Underwood.
me too!
nice job, well done
Great Googely Moogely!
Ilove this soo much is totally Alien , probably Zappa was one or at least had contact with them.
This is Great, keep it up, buddy!
not having very good eyesight, I thought the drum part was labelled ‘drama’ 😂 but there’s drama all over the place!!
Frank was a genius!
Very nice, I wish I could play as well as you. Thanks for posting.
The performance was by Ruth Underwood. I wish I could play like her!
-----------------THIS IS THE BALLS !!!
BRAVO FRANK.
Beautiful! Spine tingling rendition.
I had never heard this! Love Frank's work, this transcription looks great, it's fun to watch the notes go by!
Nice work, mate. Good to see some appreciation for very early Zappa. My favourite cue for this film is the one that was used as the opening of "Gum Joy" from Lumpy Gravy, and I transcribed that version (rather than the Lost Episodes version) when I worked it into an "Oh No" arrangement years ago. Sadly, I lost that transcription (and arrangement) in a hard drive crash back in uni!
Thanks man! I always loved that one and LG in general.
Where'd you get the score?
Interlibrary loan at my old college
❤FZ 👌🎵
Well, hey!
The Studio Tan album have some great pieces, but it would be quite an undertaking.
Excellent!
I’m not blessed with such a good ear as you and this is my favorite Zappa piece. I’d love to have the score as you transcribed it so accurately. I don’t mind to pay for it. I realise it was a lot of work. PDF or Musicscore would be OK.
If you send me your email in Instagram I can send it to you
@@derekpavlic Done. And following.🙏
Magnificent. Thanx. Ruth rules.

You are truly an extraordinary transcriptionist! FZ would be quite proud!
